No worries, also very nice offer of a brand new Kershaw , someone should jump on that. Like now :)

Ok, but then why praise the 1,000 jibber-jabber post, but ignore say the 100 or later 1,000 person who pays someting forward? It seems a little like the "In on one" posts on the first page of the thread. Just my opinion though.

How would recognizing how much good karma there is hinder the flow of more good karma?

Because people will definitely get too caught up in it. I don't know if you are on any other websites where "karma" is quantified, but if do you should know it is not really a positive thing.

Also people not yet involved with the thread will look at someone with a bunch of karma and be intimidated out of joining.

I don't doubt you have noble intentions, but if this change is made I predict the pay it forward thread won't continue into a new iteration (and I will not participate).

Oh and I also have this one for PIF. It's not much, but maybe someone can use it. Its a little Winchester knife. Would be good for opening the mail. I wouldn't trust it for too much more than that though...

Just wanted to add another pic.

Still available. We back on track?

Hi Folks, I'm going to offer up some job search help as a PIF. From past experience I can work with two BF members at a time and provide to them a high level of useful service.

I will help with building or rebuilding resume and cover letters as well as advice if asked. I know that it is a tough job market around the world right now and would love to be of service to someone as best I can.

To provide a little insight as to why a resume might need help, I'm going to point out these two articles below. An example is recruiters spend an average of 6 seconds looking at your resume before throwing it in the trash pile or putting it aside into the maybe pile. Additionally, studies have utilized eye tracking software to identify what matters most to recruiters thus you can maximize the chances of your resume not going into the trash pile if you follow the studies' suggestions. So it's important that you set up your resume properly as you might have only one go at getting the job that you want.

Helpful hints in case you want to go at it on your own.

Why I think I can help: I've been a communications and strategy consultant for 15 years in NYC. My normal job is acting as a strategist to CEO's and CFO's of some of the smallest and largest publicly traded Companies in the world. I also run the recruitment program for my agency and I look at several thousand resumes a year.

Yep, looks like there are at least 4 offers out there right now including lionesser's SAK i think. Send an email through the forum if interested in the SAK

Okay... so I am totally digging this Cryo... now this bug has gotten into me... maybe I should try a ZT? I have never even handled one. Why oh why did my dad get me started on knives so long ago? :D Soooo... if anybody is feeling super generous and in the Christmas spirit (too early?) and they are dying to PIF a ZT... I would love to take it off your hands. :o Just sayin... you know... in case :foot:

I will pay forward 1 of the following: Kershaw Chill, Kershaw Crown, or Kershaw DWO. (The chosen knife will be NIB, shipped straight from the seller to your door.)

There are two conditions: First, you must not own ANY Kershaw knives. I want to introduce you to the brand for free. (or at least free until you are addicted)

The other condition is that you must PIF at least as much as you receive. I will be checking to see what you have PIF'd and what you have gotten.

Claimed by BB6tuner!

Ask yourself how often you get into situations that really warrant going "Hannibal" on someone. There is a middle ground though. The Endura or Delica waves both fit an EDC AND waved defense role. Also the Southern Grind Bad Monkey.

You should check out Michael Janich's "Porkman" video. He uses a box cutter and a Delica to show how deep a small knife can slash. You'd be surprised. Older vid of his, but still relevant.

I'm ignoring him from the time he "ducked" that crowbar swing towards the beginning of the video.

My eyes opened wide, he almost died, and I can no longer respect this man

I don't think that was a training vid. It looked like a real life reaction example.

Anyway, I just wanted to show the Delica cut. Some of his moves seem too open even for a layman like myself. However, he does have a lot of experience on the matter.

ALLHSD should get the opinel. You're gonna love it especy once you put some loving mods into it. Email if you need any recs on ways to play/tune em to your liking. I recommend Boiled linseed oil soap after sanding down to 600.

I'll need some time to get them together and a few other things I'm shipping out, but how bout you BOTH get one? :)

Also I just re offered a rough rider.... No one wants it???

I have a friend I am going to give a knife to this golf season, and I think it would be a good introduction to traditionals, but I feel like I have attempted to claim many things. If you want it to go to someone new, then that's okay.

¿Por que no Los dos?
RedLynx your a giving maniac!

Thanks man, I just like spreading the joy of Opinel. They are cheap knives that are by no means cheaply made. Very quality stuff in my opinion and great to have around.
