Bad Pazazuzu, aka Miguel Castro Jr, do not deal with, forced to seek refund viaPayPal for intent. scam

Good to hear Paypal sided with you I think this sellers name should be in the title of this thread with a bad so others don’t fall for his stuf.
I will do that, and I appreciate your support here friend. I am definitely hoping that others have not be scammed in their interactions with this seller.

I'm glad that you are happy with the results ... and hopefully you got at least the value of the accessories that it cost you ...

I agree he still shouldn't be left off easy ... it's not like he said hey you know what ... you're right I really made a bad choice and refunded all your money ... so posting his info and the knife and what you went through might save others from getting scammed.

And hopefully the forum members ... (if this guy is not banned) ... will take notice and if any will still deal with him that they proceed with caution ... so he can't do this to anyone else.

And to the seller ... if you thought you had been scamned or even mistakenly sold a fake knife ... if you would have stepped up asked the community what to do ... you could have had the same support ... and most on here are willing to help ... if given the chance ... so please take this seriously and don't fall into trying to scam anyone ... even if you make money it will cost you far more then money.

Glad it got settled quickly.
The main thing that pissed me off was how cool I was trying to be about possibly then definitely being ripped off, and being told too bad it was my problem now. To recoup my funds by ripping off someone else. Thats when I almost lost my cool. All I had asked for was a little coorperation and our moderators saw I was trying to work with him, if in fact he was burned as well. I got spit in my face. So here we are, and this is now resolved in a satisfactory manner IMO.
I didn't want to really let it go, but I felt what was offered was a good alternative to mailing him back the knife for resale. I appreciate your insight on this, and your support as well!

At the top right hand corner of this thread is a tab labeled "thread tools" in there you have the option to edit the threat title.
I suggest changing it to reflect the nature of the seller.

As a bonus, since PayPal decided in your favor, it likely does count as a strike against him.

Miguel Castro with a red and black folding knife huh....look at the pictures in the sales thread and then read the article. Sometimes Google just cracks me up.

I am glad you got some resolution op.
Wow, that's nuts! What a weird post to pop up haha. At least we can say nobody's getting stabbed with this clone, its gonna get trashed. I appreciate your support and insight in this friend!

Very much appreciated! And there is an update to this already, the seller has offered to return $115 to me and has offered to have me keep the knife. I feel that this may be satisfactory, as the custom hardware on the knife is worth it to me, the difference split here, plus this counterfeit will be off the market here and off of eBay. What are your opinions on this?

I'd tell him to make it $150, and we'd have a deal. If you really want the extras, and know they're legit.

Your choice.
You could also send eBay copies of his statements about selling a counterfeit on eBay. They should love that.
Haha I bet, they've been taking a lot of heat from Spyderco about all the clones that have been washing through there. I would use extreme caution on dealing with any eBay blades that could be clones. A friend of mine on instagram is a crusader against that, he's gotten a lot of clone dealers of spydies shut down on eBay.

Man I should've. I felt what he offered was close to what I originally proposed we do when I discovered it was a clone and believed him also honestly fooled. Then he mentioned he believed it a clone before selling it and shot me down on that offer to split, I started this thread. I was happy with this, this way no one else can get burned with this fake. But for the trouble, I should've done that and required more, you're right.

If you Google miguel castro jr knife this thread is first result. Hopefully that saves someone down the road
Hopefully! And he's going to be blasted on instagram and Facebook as well. I'm not very active on reddit just yet, and I wish I had his eBay handle to put that out there as well.

I'd have gone all the way with returning the knife and getting a full refund. If the address is bogus, then the knife'll come back and you can show PayPal that as more proof of fraud.

Getting the counterfeit off the streets? Noble, but BFD. Kill one cockroach in a southern Indiana trailerpark, there's still plenty more.

True! I wanted to press it all the way, but I do admit I was a little sketched out about PayPal and how they have done things to a few people I know. I'm very active on instagram, where I'm more established and have had a few buddies get messed around by PayPal policy on returns. I saw the opportunity to knock out two birds with one stone on getting a good portion of my money back, exposing a bunk seller, and making sure he didn't screw anyone over with that clone as he said he wouldve to recoup funds, plus hardware in value to me. Will it stop all clones? No way! But you're right, I should've pressed the issue to the fullest. I haven't had to deal with this exact situation, but I'll be ready If it ever happens again. I have been screwed over back a year and a half ago on eBay, but was able to get an easy refund on a misrepresented item. This process was a little daunting to me to be honest.
