Pictures here! Photo Thread!

About 30min contact with fresh pineapple , "natural" patina .

This 8670 steel is apparently a great canvas for patina art . Not that I'm an artist . Just fooling around ! :p

Dino is my totally cheating "drawing " copy . But expresses my inner artistic vision very well . ;)

This Magnacut necker is my new best friend.

I owe this forum a few more pics of his excellent pieces. But beyond that, I owe David Mary David Mary my sincerest gratitude for being the most understanding, patient, helpful and passionate custom knife maker. We are incredibly fortunate to have you and thanks for bringing my ideas to life.

Sharp tooth has landed though the picture that preceded it looked more like spike, this knife has teeth. Firstly thank you David for the opportunity and a fantastic knife. This one will stay in the family. Took a trip to Independence mine in hatchers pass today and it was a perfect hiking partner.

Excellent feel in hand. Handle shape texture and thickness are perfect for extended use. The shape works exceptionally well carried horizontal on the belt as the angle on the handle keeps it out of the way despite it being a full size knife. It also carried fantastic vertical on my rain bibs. That tells me despite the stock thickness it is not to heavy. Speaking of the blade stock 3v is awesome and this sample does not disappoint. So far the only real downside is we only have 1 and when Natalie is old enough I have a feeling I'm going to loose it.

So far David home run and thank you again.

looks good. what also looks good is that view from your porch. amazing landscape.....to cold way up there for my southern bones but what a great view........

It's about a 30 minute drive from my place to get there. Gets a little busy on nice days but on rainy days where it's in the 40's out it's no so bad.
gotcha. still a really nice view.

that's what I love about y'all up in the frozen northland....cold isn't cold....

here thats a deep freeze. we have jackets on bundled up, heat on and hide inside to stay warm......

I've noticed when visiting SC in early spring... I'll be walking around in shorts and a tee shirt, the locals are still wearing Carhartt jackets and long pants.

Throw me out in the heat and humidity of Florida though and I want to crawl in a hole.

If the link works here are some of the mine pics I took. It's a cool place to visit but the buildings are being lost to time. The lost a couple recently
great tour thanks much. almost as good as being there. strummed through the pics. gonna go back and read the signs and spend more time enjoying the picture show.
