i wear pants year round. even in heat of the summer. too many bugs and biting critters.

Couldn't do it... I cut and climb in shorts from April (sometimes March) until at least the middle of October.

One of the reasons I've stayed self employed through the rougher patches is because I'd have to go back to wearing pants in the summer.

Teeny Chef in AEB-L was on the duty roster at Fire Dept fundraiser beef dinner. It's proving to be a very handy size: big enough to handle 95% of my cutting chores, but small enough that I can forget it's clipped to my belt.
