Please don't say I drank the coolaide...

Arktika is a great blade. If you buy one, you know what you are buying - a heavy folder with a big handle, but it is as sturdy a folder as I own. I carry mine in a tool pouch.

^ I think that zip tie thing is so horrible looking , its just too crude for me.And people make fun of knives made in China....

It is ugly but it works....still ugly though haha, I agree with you. Zip tying a knife would just be embarrassing to show to anybody. But hey, if it works and you need the feature, by all means!

You do know that CM carried a pair of CS Rajah 2's right? I doubt that weight will be an issue.

Fat wire ties, Drilling, ?tapping?, aluminum boiler plates

Since you might get it reground . . .
TIG a thumb stud on 'er.
Put it through the thumb hole and tack to the edges of the hole. Can grind it smooth and polish if you like. Or stone wash what ever.

Super tiny little tack weld spots near the base of the stud. On and off on the arc. No real heat to the over all blade to speak of (no warp or crack with a TIG because it is so intense and fast ) and if one is a bit concerned about that it is super easy for the welder to put wet heat barrier putty stuff on there that is going to stop any heat migration "COLD" as it were. I do this kind of thing so I know of which I blab about.

I couldn't find exactly the same scale as a knife but extrapolate between the first two vids. Two more for fun. I love the TIG !

I just purchased a few jobber length .125 carbide drills. I have some Ti pin stock that's a few thousandths oversize and I'm just gonna hammer a piece in. Should work like the Spyderco Pikal.

That's actually a pretty good idea! I have thought about doing something like that to a folder for years, and seeing the Pikal just put it into simpler terms. I can only say to flame anodized the rod before hammering it in, and once hammered in shape it into a hook a little bit (so it is a little more personalized). That should make a hella sexy folder.

Also, congratulations on two years. That is quite the accomplishment!

or yah
that's good if you can get the hole through it.
Even better.

CM, you may want to get a "Hi-Roc" carbide bit to drill that hole. I drilled an H1 blade with a jobber bit, but a VG-10 blade defeated it. The hi-roc bit drilled it. Gotta go slow with lots of coolant.

Ordered 3, thanks!

Little tip: you can use a funnel tip for a pastry bag to make a coolant/lube reservoir. Just glue it in place, fill with lube and drill through the hole. Might be tricky given the spot you want to drill, but it sure saves a mess.

Or... I could just form some kydex around the hole.

I just talked to Josh at Razor Edge. This will happen.

I'm thinking about having my TST-3 reground. This knife is a beast and it has a decent edge, but I'd still like it to be re-profiled.
