I had a dream that the GSO 4.1 was delivered by a leprechaun riding on a unicorn.
I really like the looks of that 5.1! Will you be running a promo on it as well?
Yep, the GSO-5.1 preorder will kick off this Friday. The preorder for the GSO-7/7 will kick off next Friday. The preorder for the GSO-5(no finger choil) will kick off the friday after and the preorder for the GSO-6(no finger choil) will kick off the Friday after that. I'll give it a two week break after that and then I'll be kicking off the GSO-3.5 small wilderness knife preorder. Also, I have a slick little neck knife I want to work in there. I was just going to make it as a surprise BUT I did promise to offer a preorder discount on every new model. It is a new model, so what the hell. I'll have images of all those posted by the weekend.
After all of that is rolling, I'll button up the final details and will be unveiling the first SURVIVE! folder. Bohler M-390 blade, robust Ti liners and milled canvas micarta overlay. It is going to be a pretty slick little bit of machining work.

Hey Guy curious if you are planning to do any models in 1/4 inch stock?
Most likely not. It just isn't necessary using these premium steels, adding only unwanted weight, that makes the knife feel bulky and reduces cutting efficiency. I've found that those railroad spikes usually stay home and that's the last thing I want happening with my knives. I make what I believe to be true user knives, that I want to be by your side like a best friend, for every adventure, not matter where you go. My goal with each of my designs is to make something that is as functional and useful as possible. I take every aspect of my designs in to account toward that goal. I'm not shutting you down, I've just not seen the benefit of going that thick on one of my designs. If you can show me a cutting related application where that thickness of stock would make a design more useful, I'll gladly take it in to consideration.
:glee: I'll have to order one as soon as the site will accept an order. I think the M390 is worth the $70 premium over the s30v in the other Bushcrafter knife I'm looking at, in addition to the option to remove and replace the scales. Both will be at around 60 HRC, so the M390 should outperform the s30v by a landslide!Hahaha! This week is going to be a GOOD week. The new website should be wrapping up this week and it is looking FANTASTIC!
Most of my GSO-4.1 handles are being milled this week and the GSO-4.1 blades are going on the bevel grinder this week. I'm having the first blades coming off the grinder next day air'd to me, for sheath templating and to get a jump on finishing. With luck, you'll see some assembled samples by this weekend and I should begin to deliver by late next week. AWESOME!!!
And just a teaser... I should probably put these on a new thread but what the hell. Meet the upcoming SURVIVE! GSO-5.1 and GSO-7/7.
