Guy, thanks for the honest update. It means a lot. I can't imagine how much you are juggling right now.

Just to clarify, I have not received an email confirmation with an order number. But, I HAVE recieved an email from PayPal from my original payment that has an invoice number. It's sort of similar to the pic you posted above but not exactly.

I think I'm ok. But I'm not sure. What do you think.

Yep, you're order #230 You're good to go. I'm really sorry to even make anyone have to look. It shouldn't have happened. I didn't even fully understand just how BADLY my old site was functioning or wasn't functioning, in this case. So glad to be done with that. The new system will be MUCH smoother and functional. We won't be having a conversation like this again. lol

These should begin shipping late this coming week, into late next week. All of the preorder blades should be shipped in two weeks or less and everyone will be getting UPS shipment notifications. I'll be using UPS for all of my shipping from now on.

How did Kiah manage to make all the sheaths so fast? This whole thing really is turning out to be impressive. :)

He has built a new, more efficient set up for this. I'm continually impressed with him. He doesn't have them done yet but we should be about good to go soon.

guy,
just being anal, i think i'm fine but want to make sure - i haven't recieved any confirmation emails, but did receive one update several weeks ago re: the delay. nothing since.

i've got the paypal confirmation info if that helps.

the only 'order number' i see on there is my 'invoice ID: 437' is that it?

am i good to go? thanks!

good looking run of blades you've got coming out this year, btw. that no-choil action is going to cost me money.

I'm going to order two knives, I'm only not quite sure about the kydex sheaths.
I hope it's ok to order (and pay) the two knives and when they are ready to be shipped over two months, make a second order only for the sheaths ?
I would prefer a simple pouch style leather sheath, there might be a chance you got this option over two months.

Certainly! The sheaths will be the same cost, whether you get one now or later. You are also correct, I may very well have some leather options sorted out by then. I am working on some potential leather options, from several makers. I just have to shake the tree and see what comes loose.

Hi Guy, is it still possible to order the (kydex) sheaths?
Does the old site still exist?
I've sent you an email.

thanks

Yes, it's just going to take time to get all the different store pages done. I'll have sheaths available on the site by the time the GSO-4.1's are ready to ship.

Hey Guy,

I just ordered the 5.1. Got the confirm order email. Can't wait to get it. It should arrive just in time to head out to the woods. When do you anticipate the 3.1?

Yes Sir! If you got a paypal or authorize.net confirmation, you are good to go. I'll be releasing some teasers of the no choil models, the GSO-5 and GSO-6, in the next day or two. ;)

Ehh, what the hell, I stayed up hours and hours too late, catching up on emails, what's another few minutes. Although i am going to be a lazy ass and cut and paste what I just wrote over on facebook.

We had a few day backorder on some colors of canvas micarta and the first big batch of ground blades are en route, so I decided to hang around the shop a bit after doing some work, to throw an edge on one of the GSO-4.1 grinding sample blades in Bohler M-390 steel. I did some tip strength testing, whittled some wood and did some batoning. It was all fun and games until a reckless swing with my 2x4 baton caused my finger tip to sort of explode. All in all, I am very pleased with the performance of the Peter's heat treated Bohler steel. My finger on the other hand... Yeah, that's going to hurt tomorrow.

All the parts will begin coming together late this week and I should begin having knives all finished out, assembled and sharpened next week. Kiah will need a few days to get some of these sheaths made up but we're cooking with gas now. The new shop and new website, with efficient new system are really going to help me moving forward. It's going to be an awesome new year! Thanks for being a part of it and taking this journey with me, as my young company grows! I appreciate all of you!
