SWEET! Those pics are awesome Guy. I love it when a plan comes together. This is exciting!

Fantastic, Guy! So my birthday is next Wednesday, and I'm camping on Friday -- could be a great week!

The handles look different from the previous run.
I suppose these still have to undergo a sandblasting?

In the workbench photo they were just rubbed down with mineral oil. Here are some more accurate photos. The micarta colors do vary from batch to batch. Apparently there is nothing they can really do to prevent this. I've said many times before but making the micarta seems to be more of an art than a science. I've received several shades of what were supposed to be the same color, all from the same manufacturer. The camo has seen the most drastic changes over the last year. I like the newest color, I just don't know if it will stay that way.

Hey Guys and Girls! Well, I hope there are some girls out there. lol Here is sneak peek at the SURVIVE! Necker. I promised to kick it up a notch and I told you I had a lot to share this year. lol

I'll be rolling out the SURVIVE! GSO-3.5 details in about two weeks or less. I'm driving my Solidworks guy crazy. lol I am going to be offering a few neat little upgrades, that I will be debuting with that model.

I am also going to be moving to all domestically produced steels moving forward, so this upcoming batch of GSO-4.1's will probably be the last M-390/Elmax blades you'll see. BUT, having said that, I have some calls in to Latrobe and I believe they'll be able to supply me with domestic equivalents of those powder metals, that are every bit as good. The person I spoke with also mentioned they might be working on some other fun stuff I might be interested in. I'm excited. lol. Nothing against Crucible but I'm really aiming to maintain high performance and S35VN just isn't it, IMHO. I will continue to offer CPM-3V though. That steel is outstanding.

And yes, I do have an outdoors axe in the works. ;) It's going to be epic. A one piece design, with fully contoured micarta handles. A true user.

Do you have the height on that necker? Thanks!

Anything on this by chance?

I know for sure Kiah can handle a sheath like that for you directly, with a firesteel loop. Kiah@Kiahdex.com

Do you have the height on that necker? Thanks!

All the Necker Specs can be found here: https://www.surviveknives.com/shop/product/170 I've got pretty comprehensive information laid out on each model's product page on the new site, including the steel that each knife is available in, with links to even more information.

I don't see Paypal as an option for the Necker pre-order. That is where my wife has me keep my play funds.

Yeah, I sent Kiah an e-mail. Just got to make sure I can edit my order without ordering a new one.

Are you going to add Paypal back as a payment option?

Hey Tixx, Kiah just emailed me. While Kiah and I do some work together, we aren't the same business, we live entire states apart and we don't keep the same sets of books. Placing an order change with him, for something totally different than what I'm offering right now, for me to include in your order as an order change is trouble waiting to happen. I usually defer any one wanting "custom" work to him. If I do this thing for you, the next person will expect me to do it for them and that is a dangerous precedent to set.

Hi Guy, just wanted to ask a quick question (I'm asking here on the forums just in case others might have the same question).

I was able to pre-order a GSO-6 (hope that's OK at this point) and submitted the funds through PayPal. I did print out the receipt generated by your website but did not receive a PayPal confirmation email nor did the charge show up on my PayPal activity list. I'm guessing you're not charging for the GSO-6's right now and will do so when appropriate?

As you mention in your pre-order statement, these will take awhile so I have no expectations as to delivery times. Just planning for the future.

Thanks.

Mike

Can I ask how you managed to check out with Paypal? That isn't a payment option on my new site at all. Please let me know your order number on the confirmation and forward this invoice to me: Guy@SurviveKnives.com
