I would get an Elmax EDC 4 if you opened pre-orders. That blades looks amazing and I want one.

I'm curious about the orange tero tuff. Any plans to offer that handle material in another color? I'd like to try tero tuff but I'm not so sure about orange.

I am specifically giving orange Terotuf a try to get away from orange G-10. I hate the feel of G-10 in my hand for a user knife. That being said, I would be willing to expand my terotuf offerings in the future, given they start making some more functional colors. I am also going to be messing around with some tan Terotuf on the upcoming run. I won't offer it until I see exactly how it turns out. lol

I would get one of each if a pre-order was made available

I'm interested in getting at least one on pre-order and quite likely get one in each steel.

Alright! It looks like we have ourselves a promotion! The participation looks like it is where it needs to be, to pull this off. I will have word on Elmax availability this week and as soon as my Solidworks guy can get my revisions buttoned up, we'll get this show on the road! I'm excited!

Well it's about time, what have you been doing? All kidding aside you and your company are making a real mark on the industry, hopefully you keep up with demand. That being said I am in for at least an Elmax.

Ohhhhhh yes. I was already on the fence about getting one of these knives in Elmax before, but now there's no question. I'll sign up as soon as you let me.

Wahoo! Now you're talking Guy. I have been patiently waiting and hoping for this so this is definitely good news. I'll be keeping a close watch as to when you will offer the promotion for sign up. :)

Take care.

My man is workin in a Sunday and updatin his guys. Wow! That's customer service.

Hahaha! Just the nature of being a one man show, I guess. lol. I've been working 7 days a week recently, averaging 12-14 hour days. It's worth it though, as far as I'm concerned. Things will be MUCH better once I can get into a shop of my very own, that I can lay out in an efficient manner. I have to put everything away, each time I move into a new phase right now. My grinder table is now my assembly table and I'm just working on getting all of my belts put up somewhere, out of the way. I love it though. You guys and girls just motivate me to do better and better.

Hi Guy!
I’ve been watching this thread closely since you started it and I’m very excited to get in on this deal. The main question I have is which steel should I get seeing as I can only get one knife. I just picked up a ZT 0561 in ELMAX last week, but I haven’t really put it through any rigors to say that I like the blade more than any other steel I have (and I’m probably not sophisticated enough to tell the differences). I have to say that corrosion resistance is very high on my list of wants in blade steel. It’s my basic understating that ELMAX more corrosion resistant than CPM 3V…it this true?

I have a spyderco military in D2 that I’m obsessively wiping fingerprints off after I handle so it doesn’t stain….and when I serviced it last week I found rust/pits around the pivot despite my diligent care (I have been carrying it for over 4 years though). The EDC 4.1 will be a carried/ used/ taken care of knife…but I want something that I don’t have to worry too much about when it comes to staining/ rusting. Which blade steel would you choose and why? Thanks a lot man, all of us appreciate your hard work.

I really like your designs, most of all this one. It seems like this knife could be a classic for you. I'd be interested in one in Elmax. Thanks.

Elmax is a high end stainless, so excellent corrosion resistance.

CPM 3V is a very tough and stain resistant high carbon steel, but it will corrode if uncared for.

If you're EDCing this for light work, go with elmax.

If your EDCing for heavy work, not to mention splitting wood for kindling etc, CPM 3V is your best bet.

At the current price, you could just get both..........

ELMAX is about as close to a rust proof steel as is on the market. 3V is tougher but ELMAX you could leave in the ocean for a week and take it out with no rust. Thats the main reason when I place my order it will be for an ELMAX blade.

Perfectly explained. I could have not laid it out any better myself. Thanks Man, you framed that up really well, in nice simple language.

So yeah, just get both. :D

Ok, HUGE DEAL. I got a lead on some Bohler M390 for a steal of a price and I'm thinking about grabbing it up, as an Elmax substitute. Would anyone have any objections to that? In my opinion it's an ever better option but it just isn't normally very affordable. I want your thoughts before making a final decision....Go!
