Off Topic Poll...What do you think UFO's are? <poll re-opened>

What do you believe the truly "unexplained" UFO's are?

  • Natural Phenomena <swamp gas, plasma discharge, stars, planets, etc.>

  • Otherworldly technology <ET's, Aliens, etc.>

  • Advanced U.S.A. Tech

  • Foreign Advanced Tech <the Russians, Chinese, Indians, etc.>

  • Supernatural / Interdimensional Phenomena

  • Ordinary / Known devices just being difficult to identify <civilian drones, weather balloons, etc.>

  • Deliberate hoaxing by gov't. or civvies

Lots of theory about wormholes and things like the bending of space. If an alien race is many millennia ahead of us developmentally, it's not inconceivable to conclude they have figured out a different brand of physics and the tech to travel such distance using methods other than high speed

I’d like to think so. But I don’t.

When I was 17-18, a group of us were camping in a field. Allow me to preface that no alcohol was involved and being late we were all laying out on a few fallen trees. One fella, Matt, started mumbling and couldn’t form a coherent sentence and when he looked at him he was pointing his shaking arm at the sky. From the south there was an arrow like formation of whitish / green lights, what seemed barely over pine tree top level. So, roughly 70-100’. No noise, as it moved north it stalled what seems like directly over us. And at that point l, after a group of us witnessed it, it was every man for himself. We all knew the general direction of where his house was and I ran further and faster than I had ever in my life. This was 1997-98 so there were no drones. The formation was too large to be any remote operated object and smaller than a plane. We tried to tell Matt’s parents but in true adult fashion, our tale fell on deaf ears. It’s brought up occasionally and everyone who witnessed it, still to this day gets goosebumps telling the tale.

My father used to work at a couple oil refineries 70-80 miles from the house and he always took back roads off the interstate and he has 3 occasions he’s seen lights pull 90° turns and this was back in early 80s.

There's someTHING<s> up there in & beyond our atmosphere, and also in the seas. Now that nearly every person on Earth has a high quality camera, that never runs out of film, focuses automatically <mostly>, and is imminently "at the ready," it's become next to impossible for our military, et. al. to poo-poo that anymore.

Not long ago the burden of proof was historically on the eyewitness to prove that they weren't drunk or loco, but because of the advent of consumer technology, the burden has now shifted to the government to provide the proof that what we're observing isn't someTHING. It is a remarkable time we're living through, unlike anything I've even imagined would happen.

I have a lot of confidence that the most substantial disclosure that will come out of this government action, is:

that intelligence gathering agencies have been gathering irrefutable, high quality sensor evidence-- radar, satellite, and oceanic-- of these THINGS. Plus, reportedly, higher quality video and photographic images than ever seen widespread by civvies, will be made public.

This reveal should happen by this summer. If it doesn't, that's way more concerning, IMHO. And frankly, the feet-dragging that's been happening already is quite disconcerting on many levels.

However, I have almost ZERO confidence that the true nature of the THINGS will be disclosed. Perhaps for secrecy or maybe because our best minds truly don't have many clues.

so far only seen in the movies, but if aliens do exist I hope they would save us from ourselves ! because our planet is over do for some outside HELP....

I think someone said most reports of UFO's fell in two categories:
Interesting, but not very credible.
Credible, but not very interesting.
Even the recent Navy video is just a blot bouncing around.
I'm kind of bored with it all: cover ups, hoaxes, mis-direction, cableTV, rumors, etc. I'll pay more attention when they land, pose for the cameras, prove who they are, and tell us what's on their mind.

I think they’re demons. Think about it — it’s the perfect cover. As a demon, you can shape-shift and take physical form that is unsightly and cursed. As a primarily spiritual being, you can defy the laws of physics (hence the UFOs). you’ve played wisely and duped humans to think you’re an ancient, super-advanced race from another planet so they all but worship you. Satan is the great deceiver. Read the Book of Enoch. Anyway, just my theory

It's as good a theory as any I've seen on here. Or elsewhere, for that matter. It could explain a lot of things. Even bigfoot/sasquatch/yeti. The Jersey Devil. A whole host of mysteries.

I guess that would fall under "Supernatural / Interdimensional Phenomena," eh?

I remember Carl Sagan explaining what an interdimensional encounter might be like for us on Earth.

First, he requested that we imagine we were reduced down to 2-D beings-- only able to move/see in X -->Y direction on a coordinate plane.

Next, he sat an apple down on the grid and had us imagine how we <the 2-D version of ourselves> would perceive the 3-D object <the apple>...

Of course we'd assume to only be able to experience, or see, the X/Y dimension. Since we were unable to look "up," the Z dimension/axis would be imperceptible to us and, thus, we'd only be able to experience the 2-D "part" of the apple.

He postulated that a being that could exist across time and other dimensions may appear to us in an unusual form that would be unrecognizable or very difficult/impossible to explain or even fully experience in our 3-D existence.

It was the og Cosmos.

BLEW MY MIND!

I'm with Dogboye on this one, It's interdimensional. Some " Alien " that didn't drink his coffee that day ( 1 day = 20k years our time ) pressed the wrong button and now we can see him and his " space craft " by mistake.

I have only ever seen 1 " Light " that I and the person I was with at the time could not explain. I was 21 at the time and had gone camping with my uncle ( not by blood ), his daughter, and his Brother in law at a lake called Pinecrest in California.

We stayed there 2 night's and the first night I got drunk for the first time, like pass out drunk lol. I barely made it to the bathroom before....well you get the picture.

So the second night I never wanted to drink again ( rolls eyes ), and I was completely sober. That night I went to the lake with " Uncle Dave " ( the brother inlaw ). Dave was in his 50's and he is a straight shooter type of guy. We brought a couple of chairs to the edge of the lake to kick back and look at the stars/constellations & satellites :"). We were there for quite a while and after about 30-40 minutes of pointing out constellations and differing stars from Satellites we saw what we thought was another Satellite. It was just another light gliding across the sky until it made a 90° turn, Zoomed off at a insanely faster speed and disappeared in about 2 seconds. Uncle Dave and I proceeded to say back and forth to each other " That's not a satellite ". It was not a satellite lol.

^^^ this ^^^ is a very intriguing article ... THANKS!

It'll make great reading for me for days...but at first blush, this quote really stands out to me:

message-editor%2F1556296013135-message-editor_1555447403161-pacflt-training.gif

To quote the article:

"it <location & conditions pictured above ^^^> was an ideal testing environment that featured the very best aerial, surface, and undersea surveillance sensors and sensor crews on the planet.

. . .
Clearly, the ability to defy the limits of traditional propulsion and lift-borne flight would be the pinnacle of aerospace and electrical engineering and could be far too sensitive to disclose, at least in some people's eyes within the national security establishment. Even the risk of testing this technology against known air defense capabilities would have to be weighed against the need for the tightest of secrecy. But since UFOs carry such a stigma and have deep pop culture roots in our society, the risk of doing so against an unknowing Carrier Strike Group operating under tight training restrictions seems small and the setting uniquely ideal.

In other words, could the Tic Tac have been ours?

Yes."

So, I'm feeling slant on this article is...is that the fact this "Tic-Tac UFO," in broad daylight, performs heretofore impossible aeronautic maneuvers smack-dab in the middle of the most highly advanced field of sensors ever arrayed by man directly above a hyper-lethal naval force was more than just a random happenstance.
