The Mystery Contest was won by Jennifer (Jone) at 5:14 p.m.

Lynda :)

Jennifer - Primble will contact you later with prize details. With 18 out of 18 correct answers, you solved the mystery, as predicted. ;)

Boy Mark - you are really smart - you actually almost got one right! Well - maybe not! :D:D:D:D:D:D Great great guess though. Maybe you guys need to back track. :rolleyes:

I guess I will try friendly insults - like an old friend of mine used to do. He would say "You guys couldn't find a bull in a china shop"!!!! :D:D:D:D:D

This is really fun now. I expect Jennifer will be along shortly to solve this for you guys! :D:D:D:D

Hate to say I told you so. :eek::D

Congrats Jone!!!

Check this shot out, neat scene with old timey cars, photo credit to Michael Paul Smith;

BUT
it was actually a shot using miniatures on a real street, all done by perspective and he only uses an inexpensive point and shoot camera to do this, here's an overview of what he had to make the shot above;

Wow. Yes, it is Lynda. I was going to correct that on my second try, but got sidetracked with excitement! Glad you didn't hold spelling against me. Very awesome contest and some really great trivia questions! I'm glad Mark is smart and helped me out - wait, I wasn't supposed to post that part was I? Thanks, Primble. Had a lot of fun and about 4 pages of notes to boot! I didn't take that many notes in college - hey, wait, that might explain some things. Once again, thanks. I'm excited about winning, but more excited to be a part of your contest. You had me going in circles until the questions, and it was a great race. The real mystery - who is smarter - boys or girls? Hmm - girls win! ;) Thanks again. Lots of fun and some really great pics too. Can't wait to see the finalists and the winners of the pic contest. They will be lucky to receive one of your beautiful knives!

Jennifer had all questions right except question 12, where she had Cleveland Indians. She later changed to NY Yankees. Maybe this photo clue helped, from page 5:

Wow

That real " Smoke and mirrors " stuff .
Very clever :thumbup:

Ken

PS. Congratulations to Jone , I had no idea how the contest even worked , let alone the answers :)

I was done wore out by question #3, but perked up for Secretariat.

Always.

[Secretariat still holds the record in all three Triple Crown races.]

I still cannot watch footage of the Belmont without sobbing.

Not "crying," sobbing. I start to weep at the one minute mark, and am Gone by the time he passes the flag-- "moving like a tre-MEN-dous ma-CHINE."

Every time. Oh, my 8-year-old heart.

I will also confess to having a Breyer model of Secretariat on my dresser....

Congratulations, Jone!

A valiant effort my friend and no - this is your consolation prize!

I wasn't going to brag - but - what the heck - this is Blade Forums:

Consolation prize for Mark and Macchina - I guess you could call this a "guy thing"!! :D
