Well, the thing is you have not been conned. You have her knife and have had it for over a week and she has nothing. She may have behaved badly and insulted you, but if it was I the knife would go back to her and I'd forget it. So much drama over a 45 dollar knife. You got it wasn't satisfied with it, it doesn't matter what she wants or wanted send it back and be done with her.

Ashley and I talked yesterday. I know what I would tell you about it is heresay. She knows what really occurred. Some people just can't tell the truth and some people are bone chillingly selfish, they go hand in hand. This type of person cannot apologize because in their mind they did nothing wrong. Ashley almost apologized but couldn't.
I am gonna stand on my principles regarding this delema. I came to this site today hoping this had ended yesterday at least with Ashleys entries. What you all think is your problem.
After the ridiculas and dishonest way Ashley has behaved including the conversation yesterday I have one more e-mail to share with you.

There is a price to pay for dishonesty, disrespect and selfish contempt, you are guilty of all three towards me. Considering this, the reality aspect is simple and has three levels. Level one: I have the knife and I will not return it as a matter of principle which I have explained to you in detail. Level two: I offered to pay $45.00 for it and you accepted. After careful consideration I will also pay the $3.00 it cost to ship it, a total of $48.00. I will pay this amount. Level three: I have to weigh the facts regarding how the dishonest, disrespectful, and contemptuous way I've been treated by you has caused me to suffer and how to come to terms with it. As not to suffer any more stress and hardship over this situation and still pay you the above amount I will mail you a check by the 4th of every month in the amount of $9.60 for 5 consecutive months. The payments will begin June 2009.
Please don't call or e-mail me any more regarding this matter. This is a done deal! As for bladeforum, say what you want. I've asked my real life friend who provides great advice and defense to stay off the site and say nothing else on my behalf.

Just because you feel she behaved badly does not give you the excuse to behave just as badly. I have not taken sides, I merely said It is the standard of mine and most all if not all, BladeForums members to return a knife sent to you if you are unhappy with it. You are holding it hostage because you feel insulted and damaged.
You are incapable of being the bigger person and merely returning it and washing your hands of the entire ordeal. If you feel good about what you are doing, fine. I said that I would have had it back in her hands long ago and been on my way to putting it behind me, that is not taking sides.
 
I can't help but answer you Jill. With all due respect, are you related to Ashley? You took a side. The other one might be; Ya John I understand, you entered this trade in good faith, voiced concern about the knife, was told it was the camera. You got it voice another concern and was told "it isn't that bad", it was, you said you would send it back and for that you were called a rip-off. Then though a slip of her tongue you found she paid $45.00 not $65.00. Ya, John I'd be mad too and I think you're right to send her the $45.00, thats what I would do too. Jill, thats the other side, MINE.

I'm DONE he got a beautiful 11" Buffalo horn with kris Blade FB for free but more importantly I learned a HUGE lesson about trusting people on the net. I'm going to stick to my auctions where the details are all laid out and money is paid before I ship. So, fare well John Osham I hope you enjoy the beauty. I can get more no problem. This has been totally childish from the start of your first email. I'm done and hope all bladeforum member don't judge me when I buy or sell or here someday because of this childish act that you caused by not just sending it back like I ask. But instead you tried to con me by stating you pay me $72 and I'll send it back with the Kershaw. Keep it I'm the bigger party in this and I'm walking away with a lesson learned and my head higher than ever.
