I could be wrong, but I don't think you can "refund" a pp gift like you would with a goods/services transaction.

Just keep all of the text from this discussion thread if you are worried that PayPal will screw you over.
 
can't refund a gift but you can send it back as a gift. everyone involved in these disputes has had their money/knives returned. this thread should be closed. no more whining or bitching or piling on...there are real crooks out there, focus on them. if you don't like this guy, put him on your ignore list and move on. peace
 
I refunded his $1.50 gift; had a refund button just like the other amount he sent (which wasn't a gift).
 
Though I vowed from advice of a kind Mod not to get involved in every single posting there is one in which is of some value which proves enlightening perhaps.

So I ask you, just how strong is that legal element of intent? This is the question because if intent is as you say is so important and pertinent, it would be used indiscriminately and in each and every case, no? Thus if intent is so important then my innocence in the original trade deal (for which this thread was created btw) is undeniable. Many people focus on the box shipped with the note but fail to examine the note itself. What does the note actually say? Please refer all the way back to post #2. Exactly. Anyone with decent capacity for comprehension can understand its true intent. I rest my case.
 
What does it say about your intent by trading the same knife to two people and still trying to sell it at the same time? Feel free to answer this with a picture of 3 Bowies

This is the problem with people with no legal education talking about the law: you take a concept that applies to one situation and then just run with it, resulting in complete nonsense.

The way you keep defending this guy has prompted me to add you to my "Shady Characters" list. People who defend scammers are usually ethically deficient themselves. There's a real crook right here in this thread, so why don't you take a hike and stop trying to derail the focus on this scammer?

Ok so by this time the trade deal between myself and ssghwhite has been completed and Kyle is about 97.95% reimbursed. I have agreed to pay for his shipping out the Skyline since it was I who called off the trade deal. Thank you all for the patience and understanding.

I'll make this bold statement right now: If Ryan Posey, is still here when my membership is due, I won't be paying another dime to support this forum! Being banned has to mean something...making plea deals to get ssgwhite, & kyle made whole, is understandable, but now that this is done- Ryan Posey needs to be gone!!!

Who on Earth, mails an empty box with a freaking note??? And the fact that you still don't get it & defend your actions, is beyond pathetic!
