He contacted me through email again....
I replied to his previous email with: Im surprised that you actually think this trade is still happening, its not. You need to send my knife back to me when it arrives.
His reply:
Hello,
Did I miss something? Why is this trade not happening? Last I heard you received the package with the note and were upset. I totally understand and I apologize if that were the case. I feel bad about it. I hope you will be able to forgive and understand where I was coming from and needed that extra "assurance". I remember mentioning to you before about horror stories from trade deals gone sour. Simply put, I got spooked and the overcautious nature kicked in as I worried I could have made a grave mistake. Especially a knife valued at $250 and then another $100, one knife gone missing or stolen with no recourse is one knife too many. I rarely do trade deals because of this but as I said before, your feedback and the communication leading up until a point had me feeling good about it. In addition, I gave you my word I would take it and you were kind enough to hold it for me till we worked out the fine details. Please let me know if you have any questions/ concerns and your knife is packaged up and ready to go out Monday should yours arrive in the expected condition.
To which I replied:
You lied and ruined your word, it has no substance here. You're worried about sending a 250$ knife with cash on top? Try sending a 525$ one and only getting a hundred bucks and a empty box for it. There's no way our trade is still going through.
