You accuse me of lying and yet our original agreement was that I send the cash plus tracking number for the knife and then we both ship the same day. I take my knife down to the post office and mail it at around 10:00am. Tracking numbers were provided before then because I sent them earlier to you that morning. Then you say you need to see proof and "proof of movement" before you will ship your knife. How do you think I felt sending you the cash, then the knife (had I sent the knife) and then finding out you not shipping your knife until 2 days later. Two days! Is that not breaking our agreement as well? We agreed to the Slysz plus $107 cash for an equal trade of the WC Eagle. You had your knife listed at $325 so how can you claim its value at $525? You don't see me claiming the value of the Slysz at $275 despite the fact it is in like new condition. Bottomline is we both agreed on a trade based on values we were happy with. Let's finish the trade as agreed upon and call it a day.

Your paypal doesn't have an address associated with it and then you provided me with the wrong tracking number (remember it was short one number?) I tried to ship the same day you gave me a correct tracking number...you botched that with an incorrect zip code. I can't make extra trips to the post office because of your incompetence on an hourly basis...I work for a living and depend on that income.
Try and buy that eagle, you'll see they're not listed for 325 anywhere. It'll cost you 525 bucks.

after reading the last email (assuming it was not altered) i think both of you were equally shady in this deal. i think op broke agreement 1st, then posey responded poorly. both of you should have walked away once the deal started going sideways. i personally don't think the op should have ran to his computer and tattled here the minute he received the box with the note. he's obviously still in contact with posey and has not denied breaking shipping agreement 1st. i feel everyone needs to chill and let this sort out before getting so worked up and attacking this member. there's a big difference between sending an empty box with a note because the other party hadn't sent his knife yet and sending an empty box with no intention of sending the knife. peace

I don't see how the OP broke the deal first, when the first thing that happened was Ryan Posey shipping an empty box, then providing an invalid tracking # for the box. Then giving a wrong zip code that caused the OP to ship out even later.
I did nothing wrong here, and am sure not "tattling" (really guy?

I would say that if you waited to see movement before shipping and that wasn't agreed to in the deal, that is shady. Regardless, you did ship your knife and he did not. What Ryan Posey did by sending an empty box is patently unacceptable though. He should be called out for that at the very least.

If it doesn't track...it's just a number. What he gave me wasn't a tracking number, the USPS website didn't recognize it at all because it was a number short. Throwing a random number at me wasn't part of the deal, it was to provide me with a tracking number.

He sent a faulty tracking number! He sent the wrong zip! He sent an empty box! And when the HPIC says to send the knife, you send the knife. How is this hard to understand?
Once all the knives get to where they are going, whether it be back home or otherwise, I am confident this dude will be banned.
Things like this really have to stop. I side with the op no question. Shipping an empty box was low enough. Then to stick to it and still not ship? Anyone can ship on a sunday via the usps website. He is essentially holding your knife ransom. I have a suspicion the minute he has his end of the trade its gonna be crickets. Intecept the package. Why are you waiting? This punk has proven to the fullest extent that he is dishonest. I wouldnt give him an inch more rope or you will be swinging from it.

Sid, respectfully, I do not read it the same way you do. Seems like there were many things that went wrong (sent wrong tracking number and wrong zip), and they were all the fault of Ryan Posey. IMHO nothing the OP did was in the least bit shady.
Oh yeah, Ryan Posey sent an empty box.
I don't see the OP as "tattling." If I got an empty box with that same note, I would be doing the same thing.

1st i do not think posey did nothing wrong, i think it was shadey for him to send the empty box with the note. but like i stated, if everything is unaltered in the emails posted, it was just as shady for the op to change the terms after he believed the knife was mailed (whether it was an empty box or not) to state he needs to see movement on the package. both parties changed the agreement on their own accord. this should be left to both of them to sort out. neither party seems trustworthy or like someone i would ever deal with. "i did nothing wrong"...in my experience, only people who have cry this. peace
What Ryan Posey did is not just shady. It is breech of contract. It is deception. It is unethical. Ryan Posey has already been banned in the past and because of that, IMO, shouldn't be able to tarnish our community any further. One of these two members is on my ignore list and it is not the OP. ssgwhite, I will not hesitate to do a deal with you. If it matters, you are in good standing in my book.

The fact that you are defending this BS is fantastic. You learn a lot about people in the GB&U, and not just the principals involved in the topic. When the owner of Bladeforums tells you to ship the knife and you don't, what does that say? The owner here, they guy you paid to be a gold member, has told the piece of trash to ship and yet he still doesn't. Since when does Spark even get involved in the GB&U drama? Not ever, since I have been here. That should tell you all you need to know.
