Professional knife sharpening. 40 years of experience. Knife modifications/Regrinds

Just received 8 pocket knives back from Richard today, never had them so sharp.
Thanks for the fast turnaround.

Sent in my case 61011 pruner for sharpening and a svord peasant fixed for a proper hole drilled. Both came out great! Very responsive and lots of communication! Couldn't have asked for a better service provider.

I sent Richard my new HEST II to have a proper edge put on it, he was extremely fast, professional, and above and beyond helpful. I'd happily send him any knife I owned for sharpening.

I sent CRK Sebenza to Richard for sharpening and it came back with scary sharp convex edge that I can easily shave with.
I’m very impressed with his sharpening skill but I was more impressed with Richard for his personality.
I’ve contacted Richard via E-mail for an inquiry and 5 minutes later received a call from him and we had a nice chat.
I’ve mentioned to him that I may be visiting family friend about an hour away from his location and he offered me to stop
by at his place so that he can show me how to sharpen knife.
Unfortunately I could not take-up on the offer due to a limited time.
I sent my Sebenza to Richard via Priority Mail with confirmation# on Monday.
Richard had his eye kept on the tracking# and when tracking info was not being updated he immediately became concern
and called his local post office and made sure everything was ok.
Upon completion of his service he notified me immediately via E-mail with video of paper cutting test and got it back on
Friday of the same week.

Thanks Richard !!

Hey Richard. You appear to be the "The Man" is this business. Have you ever removed serrations? I have a Gerber 06 that I need to turn into a smooth edge. DO you think you can do that? I will email you my phone number sometime over the weekend and hopefully we can get this done. Thanks in advance.

I just had 2 sebenza's sharpened an 2 hair scissors sharpened by Richard. Got them back in a couple of days , with a beautiful , hair popping edge. Thanks Richard. I'm definately going to send you all my sharpening work !!

Richard is awesome If you've never sent him a knife you dont know what your missing. I sent him an emerson super cqc 7 that was butter knife dull. Richard called me when he got my knife in the mail to tell me it had arrived, and to go over exactly what i wanted him to do to the knife before he did it. He would have shipped the knife out the same day he received it but i work late and he waited to talk to me before he did anything to it!! After he finally got ahold of me we chatted for a bit and you just know when you talk to him you're dealing with a stand up guy. I got my knife back super fast and it has a beautiful polished edge that will split hairs i have no doubt about it. Bottom line if you want a killer edge on your blades and you want it done right by someone who knows what they are doing send your knife to Richard, the only complaint i have is he barely charges you anything to sharpen your knife, For the services he does he should be charging a lot more for what he does, you will be amazed if you send this man a knife.

Got my Battle Mistress and Killa Zilla II back yesterday. Rich put a convex edge on the mistress and touched up the edge on and fixed a couple rolls in the zilla from hitting a wood staple.

Excellent work, great communication, couldn't be happier. Thanks Rich, I'm sure I'll have more for you in the future!

I always sharpen my own knives and even sometimes for friends , but Richard sharpened my CQC7 sharper than new. I never was able to get it this sharp.
And super fast turn around too!

Another satisfied customer. Richard sharpened my CQC10. I sent it on Monday and received it today. Sharper than factory!

Thanks Richard!

Great service, and communications. I love Emerson knives, but am not a fan of chisel grinds or their "double v", which is still a chisel type of grind. They are sharp, but I find them harder to maintain and they don't cut straight on long deep cuts (i.e. the cut tends to curve).

So I had Richard convert 3 of my Emerson's to a true double bevel and I'm now a happy camper :)

Here's a quick pic of an Emerson Horseman and A-100. (The side you're seeing normally has the primary bevel but no secondary bevel. Richard recut the secondary bevel on both sides.)
