Proto Pics Of The BussMuk . . . !!!!!!

Both 3/16" and 1/4" versions would be nice. Make the LE the 1/4" and the CG 3/16" with Orange G-10 as an option for a very nice woodcraft knife. I would guess the blade length is somewhere in the 4 1/2" to 4 3/4" range.

I have not gotten a Busse knife in years, partly do to finansing guns, but this I think I could make money for. Assuming it had the full hight grind and was 3/16" or a little thinner.

interesting design ... I might be into a Tigerhide LE in .25" thickness !! I'd never have a use for this knife, but people who do seem to want a thinner version... that's cool! it'll gimme time to pay off the ASHs :)

I like it:thumbup: But as others have stated its gotta be thin to win:thumbup:

I would love to see you do something like this somewhere down the road. Its a Bush/skinner Knife, but I had this one made in a Fighter configuration, with double hilt and brass fittings. Its 0.20" thick. Its Been in the catalog for past 50 yrs.

WOW , That Would Be A Great Skinner . I'll Take One . Just Not That Color Slabs .Way To Go.

1/4 inch is way to thick IMO.

I'd say 3/16 is the perfect compromise.

did someone actually say 'sharpened prybar'?

LOL!!! I didn't see that. Too funny.
Definitely need at least one thin version of this one somewhere between 1/8" and 3/16".

It's already getting some discussion over at Ramanon, where the Nessmuk is revered.

Already, one sharpened pry bar remark has emerged.

I posted my pics from this thread. :p

I don't like Nessmuck's myself, but I think those that do will want it at .125 with full height grind in satin/micarta

I'm a minority here, but I'm just fine with .25". My Koster Nessie in O1 was .25" as is the one he is making me in 3V. With a flat grind and a convex edge, it's all slicer and can chop as well as any 5" blade will.
I will be just as pleased with a thinner form in INFI though. Either way, thanks Jerry for answering my emails with a real knife.

LOL!!! I didn't see that. Too funny.

The line was actually "It will be $300 and way too thick to be useful." That falls into the category of the "sharpened pry bar" remark. Don Rearic would have been proud.

LOL!

fair enough.

:)

Don Rearic, BTW, coined the phrase Internet Kool-Aid Slurpee Club because he's put off by thick Busses and Busse fans who pay what they pay for the knives.

He's now sort of the unofficial figure head of a covert Kool Aid cult. Don just doesn't know it. :p
