Proto Pics Of The BussMuk . . . !!!!!!

I would say 3/16th with a zero edge would be a darned good slicer, but .170" would not be bad either. I do like the idea of a deeper relief behind the guard near the index finger, nothing wrong with a little increased margin of safety, but I am torn on the talon hole choil issue. I know some folks swear it impedes cutting chores, but I have never had a huge problem with them. I Do say nay to a recurve, I am growing tired of recurves on everything.

Ill take'm all. What will be the total length??? Love the pumpkin handle. It will go great with #73 that I got in the cupidganza last week.:thumbup::thumbup:

1/8th. Gonna be short - may not be ideal for a kitchen knife after all. But needs to be THIN. Thickening it does nothing for hte purpose of this knife.

Looks awesome Boss! Keep it 3/16s or less and flat ground and life will be good!

Boss,

I really dig the blade design as is, but if I may humbly make a suggestion... Thinking that if I would want to choke up on the handle for more delicate tasks, such as food prep like skinning fruits & vegetables and cutting meat, or maybe something else like woodcarving, etc., I'm hoping that the choil area is wide enough to place a forefinger... It looks like it is in the pic, but I'm wondering if the edge is a bit close to where that finger may rest... Do you think that maybe you can add some checker filing there from the Talon hole up and around to the blade above the edge bevel? Also maybe some more checker filing on the spine where the thumb would rest? Nothing too deep, but enough for traction should the fingers & blade get slick while in use to avoid a forward slip. I'm thinking that maybe, like serrations on other Busse knife models, this could be offered as an upgrade option? Just a suggestion to consider...

I do really like the design! :D:thumbup:

You know I want one, boss. But I really would prefer it with a Warden handle rather than the EDC shape.

Just curious what other people think about a functional choil on this one.

Im not too sure, Guyon, i think that the original is perfect, and that the NICK style guard is fitting to the style.
