Proto Pics Of The BussMuk . . . !!!!!!

 . . . . We may or may not go with a full height grind. . . . testing will tell. . . But the overall shape is what you are looking at here. . . .

Whatcha think?. . . .

Let's Drink!

I like it. It looks familiar somehow.

I like it just as shown!

Also, it has enough steel in the right places so that one of them could be ground into an INFI semi-skinner, something I have wanted for a long time.

a 3/16 inch blade as wide as this one would have better geometry than a spyderco military or delica, so how is that not a slicer. Some people are just rediculous with their thin knife requests. And then others are just rediculous with their thick knife requests. I said compromise so everyone is happy but it seems so many of you are too extreme. 3/16 is a compromise between fat and skinny. Make sense?

The over-all blade shape is OK, but I think it is a little taller than I would prefer (????)
I think it would be good to know some dimensions before commenting, but....

I do like the shallow slow curve of the edge and consider that to be the most important part of a knife. But, I would probably go slightly more shallow than the proto shown.

The Full height grind on this design is good. With a full height grind, I feel 0.125" - 0.17" thick would be fine with me - still plenty tough and still great for slicing.

And I know the general "handle" shape is good. But, needs some tweaks IMO.

*** This is another knife where I wish Jerry would get the Talon Holes off an otherwise potentially good knife. The over-sized guard and over-sized choil are a detriment to these smaller to mid-sized knives IMO.
This is not a knife that people are looking to tie to a stick.

Also, I would prefer a tighter radius in the grip area at the index finger.

I think this would be an improvement (IMO) especially at the guard and choil areas!:

Very, very yum! I'd have to get one of those!

Cheers,

p.s How about 0.15" thick. Just like my other fave, the AD.

I see what you are saying. How about a 3/16 combat grade, a sub 1/8 LE and fatties at BCS later?

I like it  and I don't care how thick or thin it is... but 3/16 is thin enough:cool:

I say just offer it in a variety of thicknesses as has been the case recently. Skinny GWs. Thick GWs. Skinny ADs. Thick ADs. Skinny Scrofas... well, you get the picture.

I'd love to see one sub-3/16" and another up around 1/4".

Agreed! I'd really like to see this be the next GW.
