since the designer was unable to afford a lawyer is the reason he changed his mind.

A bit of a reading comprehension failure. Let me explain this again. I changed my mind since Warren Thomas isn't choosing not to pursue legal action like I had initially thought, he can't pursue legal action. There is a massive different between won't address a problem and can't address a problem. I'm not a lawyer and never claimed to be, so I had assumed the process was understandably simple to sue for damages of IP theft.

That plus the fact that Jared West is likely judgement proof. When he won the civil case in court his only recourse would be to put a lien on the imaginary knife factory.

Classic. Still justifying knock offs in an apology for supporting knock offs.

Why the change of heart  when all this has been brought to your attention before?

Please explain how that is justifying knockoffs. Taking designs is extremely commonplace, and if you want to write off all companies that do it prepare to not buy basically any products. Any time you feel like getting off your fake sanctimonious high horse, it would be appreciated.

Crime in general is extremely commonplace, but that does not justify supporting crooks. This guy steals the creativity of others and turns it into more CHINA knives and you wonder why the forum community is unhappy with you for supporting the Jareds of the World with your dollars and your praise? Really?

And then you back up your fake apology with another justification of supporting knock offs.

And you make another indirect and pointless statement. That high horse must be mighty comfortable.

Sounds pretty direct and to the point: you support knock offs. The vast, vast majority here do not approve of that behavior, and, as you judge others repeatedly, you are judged and found wanting. You are clearly comfortable supporting lowlifes.

Boom.

Your lack of faith in the system is disturbing. It sounds like you think laws are almost meaninglessness since they can't be enforced.

Ok, I finally need to jump in here because while watching you flounder around in willful ignorance has been absolutely entertaining, I have to ask: are you a troll? "Your lack of faith in the system"? Many laws are on the books today that are not, and flat out CANNOT be enforced. That is a fact. There are many, many laws in and around the running of a business that, as has already been explained to you, are largely entirely on the org to report. And some orgs hire people who aren't 100% honorable* and so won't report their own company's willful wrongdoing. So, in essence, yes there are laws that are almost meaningless because they can't be enforced. Why? Because we don't live in the Matrix or in Minority Report. Big Brother can't (and won't) be everywhere at once.

*Like people who import Chinese made knives and slap a "Made in America" label on 'em

If I walk up, take your food, call it my own, and your response is "Eh, he can have it"... Well as far as anybody else is concerned it's mine. It isn't like he doesn't have a course of action, he just seems to be choosing to do nothing.

By the way, that knife linked is hella nice looking.

Mind you, I'm not victim blaming, I'm just saying his claims almost seem unsubstantiated when he chooses to do nothing when his name and designs are clearly being stolen. Not taking action seems like he signed a contract he now regrets, not that they just decided to steal his stuff.

Except that's exactly what you're doing.

I can provide an elaborate Power Point presentation outlining the complete opposite of what you just stated.

But it will have no effect on the complete backwards mentality you have to IP and integrity.

I'll re-state, with emphasis: you are nothing more than a low-tier shill. This is a simple fact of life that you will have to deal with. Keep digging!

Shame, he isn't even a high tier shill! :D

All our words fall upon deaf ears.

Considering it's where you've been this entire time, I find this comment laughable to say the least.

And you will notice that not one single person here agrees with you. The fact is, I could not have been more direct. You just don't care to comprehend.

That is so funny. The bearing system is the exact system found in countless chinese knives. There is no doubt where they come from.
