I had a bit of a back and forth with BHQ a couple of years ago over this very issue. Their position, in a nutshell, was that they couldn't be responsible for independently verifying all of the claims of their suppliers. I was then, and am still, disappointed in that response, particularly where a false claim has been brought to their attention.
That means "we don't care" in a nutshell. They'll sell any knife that makes them a profit until some court order shuts down the dealer.
