Just a random observation for whatever it's worth: I doubt that a high end residence in a toney suburb of Austin has zoning that would allow for a factory. A 3 story knife museum maybe, but not a factory.
Quartermaster isn't even registered in the State of Texas.

Congrats, finally the OP admits Quartermaster Knives is a scam ! What really bothers me though is all the OTHERWISE reputable Knife Dealers that ADVERTISE the LIES and continue to sell Quartermaster Knives to their loyal customers, making more victims of this SCAM !!!

Bladehq states:

Quartermaster (QTRMSTR) Knives
QTRMSTR was founded in 2012. The principals in the business have a combined 25 years of experience in aerospace and industrial design. At its inception, the goal of the QTRMSTR Knife Company is to design and develop a line of rugged, hand-crafted, American made knives in limited quantity but of ultimate quality.
Quartermaster is dedicated producing unique, domestically made items for real users and this will continue to set them apart from the competition for years to come. Their no-nonsense approach extends from their designs, well past their assembly processes and into their marketing practices. They don’t let anything sub-standard out of their doors, EVER and they won’t mince words about which customers they'd like to have: They're QTRMSTR and they're a knife built for a new generation of American Soldier.

It is sad but there is plenty of junk reputable dealers sell that I don't think they should. I think our part her is to inform the consumer and debunk the supporters of this crap company.

Pretty much dealers that continue to state QM knives are USA produced, don't care as long as they make profits off the lie.

Yea, but if we could get a company on board to help out the fraudulent turds it would go a long way. Not to mention, they'd have my business in the future.

True, but I think they would need to be proven in court that they are fraudulent before a dealer drops them. Like Jill said, it is a bottom line type of thing.

Looking around at dealers that sell QM, I only found Bladehq has the header stating they're USA produced. The rest had nothing at all, preceding the listings.

The dealer always has a choice. They chose whom to be dealers for.

What it comes down to is, money trumps whether or not quartermaster is fraudulent.

I'd wager that the knife dealer who cares enough to cut ties with quartermaster from the evidence here, would also gain sales from people who want to support a company that has values.

New question and apologies if its been asked. Grant and Gavin hawk have supposedly collaborated with quartermaster on 3 different projects as well as mantis. The QTR-12 even has the hawk claw logo machined into the knife. But now if you go on the G&G Hawk website they don't list quartermaster as a factory collaboration. They do have mantis listed though. So my question is has anyone ever heard of either grant or gavin confirm whether they have seen a factory?

Of course they don't care they're retail stores. KC and BHQ might be devoted to selling knives but their entire purpose of existing is profits.

That's why they have no problem selling qtrwhatevet and striders, its about the profits.

Not every retailer will continue to state a product is made somewhere it's not. Some do have more integrity than others.

True. I wish BHQ and KC didn't support the shady businesses of the knife world.

I had a bit of a back and forth with BHQ a couple of years ago over this very issue. Their position, in a nutshell, was that they couldn't be responsible for independently verifying all of the claims of their suppliers. I was then, and am still, disappointed in that response, particularly where a false claim has been brought to their attention.
