Quartermaster knives

He's too busy trying to make a living. The man works on knives and designs from sun up to long past sun down. There are personal issues in his life right now that I don't think are appropriate to discuss here. Warren isn't the only designer to call QRTRMSTR out. Do your research. Warren is a friend of mine and whatever reputation that he's supposedly earned around here isn't deserved. If you knew half of the story you wouldn't even be trying to pick a fight with me. I've heard the phone calls. I've seen the results. Warren never gave him permission to use his name or those designs.

Anyway, QRTRMSTR / Jared already dug his own grave and people need to stop defending him. As far as I'm concerned this is over. Anyone with half a bit of sense would know to steer far clear of these knives. Questionable business practices are one thing - but there's ample proof that what's going on in Dripping Springs is far more sinister than questionable. One only needs to use the search function. No one should support a company that steals designs from reputable knife makers... and how would you like it if someone decided to use your name and face to endorse a questionable product? Would you like to wake up one day and see that you've been unknowingly endorsing Extenze? It's wrong no matter how you cut it. Anyone that defends QRTRMSTR has no appreciation for intellectual property laws. Go buy a Mr. Roper or Ricardo Tubbs and pretend that you have a real Warren Thomas, that's the ticket!

I done my research, look back at who's posted what in this thread. I know Bram Frank has made the claim as well, he had agreements with Mantis, but nothing with QTRM5TR. I don't know if I'd call Warren a 'reputable knife maker', but that's another story.

If I woke one day to find my name on a product I never approved or my designs stolen, I've be upset and a few dollars richer after suing every penny I can squeeze out of them. Warren has done nothing, why? If it's so clean, cut and dry, it'd be an breeze.

I'm not defending QTRM5TR, I'm just trying to look at both side of the story with skepticism to try and stay objective as possible.

I could ask WT for further details.

Better yet, quit acting as his proxy and tell him to post something up himself. He found time to post his original claims to Facebook, he can come here and post it himself.

EDIT: See the problem we have here, is the people that actually know something worth while, aren't the ones talking.

We have so many good knives available to purchase from so many companies with good reputations these days I don't know why anyone would bother buying a Quartermaster (or QRTM5STR or whatever the hell they're called) knife...

It's not like the designs are that great, the materials are that special, the ergos are that comfortable (they look like hell btw), or the product is that superior that it is worth the risk.

Hey brother, you're the one that mentioned Warren's name first. You called me his handler. Then you go on to lambaste me for defending my friend after your trounced on his name? I wonder why none of Warren's designs are still available for sale? Why was his name pulled off of the 2.5 and Model 19 copies after WT's Facebook announcement?

Anyway, there is litigation under way but I'm not at liberty to speak of it, so get that ridiculous excuse out of here. Why do you choose to even question the credibility of those who have been caught blatantly lying to their customers and stealing their designs from the artists who created them? Do you think Bram Frank is hiding something too? Is Jared's own father a liar? Anyone with sense would stop defending this company. That's why I've chosen to ignore further attacks on Mr. Thomas' character and will from this point forward only be focusing on relevant posts. Jared's own father called him out publicly... and... I'm out!

Has this not been the case since you joined BF?

Good! I'm glad to hear something is finally happening.

Stop defending those who lie to their customers and steal their designs from the artists who created them. Anyone with sense would stop defending this company.

Again read my previous post.

His own father called Jared out publicly... and... I'm out!

Gee, wonder who was the one who pointed that out and then posted it here???

Found it...

And...

Oh, right! It was me...

Thank you. I don't even like one thumbstud on my blade, much less four.

You're an aggressive little ant aren't you? Well good for you! You did a good thing! Want a cookie? For real though, drop it. It's a dead horse. You're coming off a little kooky.

EDIT: Sorry if that sounded a little mean, I'm just tired of talking about it. It feels as though this has all been rehashed a thousand times over. The facts are out there for anyone to find if they're just willing to look. It's up to the people to decide how they want to spend their money and who they want to spend it with.

Just found it funny that you were telling me about something I originally posted, like I didn't know what I was talking about:D

Anyways, carry on, tell Warren I wish him luck in dealing with Jared/QTRM5TR.

Thank you, I will. It was good of you to bring that post back up. I had forgotten that it was you. I don't get on forums much.

HA HA HA HA HA HA !!!!!! :barf:

Good one, needed that laugh. Enjoy your Quartermaster for years to come.

Sorry to rez a month dead thread, but has there been a consensus on these guys? They have a new knife out that I have been lusting after since I saw it. IT is a collab with a motorcycle fabricator who clearly gave them permission to use the design, as he is currently carrying one according to his Instagram feed. Are the materials at least what they claim to be?

Obviously you have not taken the time to go through and read this thread.

Read the whole thread, and many others. No closure, none. Love your avatar btw.

Thanks! I enjoy Stone, but only on even years. The whole "Odd beers for odd years" thing is weird. I want good beer, not weird beer.

Anyway, the consensus is that no one knows or can prove where Quartermaster Knives are made. When anyone questions quartermaster publicly, on social media, they instantly get slammed or banned from the different forms of media. Instagram is perhaps the most popular for this to take place. Jared West has a shady past and he plays a large role at quartermaster, although we don't exactly know what he does  They claim the knives are made in Texas, but will not say where. The super top secret facility doesn't actually exist according to satellite images and physical addresses. They've been called out for allegedly stealing designs and copying over just about every knife from the Mantis line. Since you've read the thread, you have seen the comments made by Jared West's father.

Basically, Quartermaster Knives / QTRM5TR has a very shady history and has not, will not, and doesn't want to provide any clarification or proof to anything that has been claimed about them. Spend your money as you please, but they will never see a dime out of my pocket.
