I just got my Spicoli and am very disappointed. At first I was in love. The knife felt quite solid and solid. Then i checked and it had A LOT of up and down blade play. I contacted qtrmstr and hope they can resolve this problem.
Apparently their customer service is pretty excellent... as it needs to be given how much controversy there has been. I'm sure it will be taken care of. Let us know.
Wow. I've liked there designs for a while. And have been following them on instagram. Funny the difference in opinions from here and instagram. People rant and rave about them There. I'm glad I searched them in blade forums! I have to say, you guys have made me happy I haven't purchased any of their wares.
The owner of a specific Instagram account can control what is said there. They can easily remove any negative posts and leave only the bootlicker, brownnoser style posts. It skews everything, pretty simple and easy to see why there is a "difference of opinion". Just like anything else in life, if people take a moment and pause their incessant need for instant gratification and actually research a topic they can usually make much better decisions across the board. Unfortunately, many people prefer the easy (lazy) road of instant gratification and the "I want it NOW" mentality takes precedence.
