I live in new mexico and am 17, that much is true. Past that, none of yall can possibly know shit about me, like that i have part of my finger missing. I am cryptic online as a rule.
As i said before, i was indifferent about the feeling my post might have created among yall. i know better now and this is a sincere apology, especially to Nathan. Had no idea a knife could do that and in new mexico, surrounded by dishonest people, i have learned to grill people on the icebox before i get anything, from a used race tire, to a new big rig. I have a solution for the CPK doubters, non believers, skeptic and the agnostics. That grotesque display of the riches with like the 500 or so CPKs laid out flat on the CPK table cloth ought to be a sticky thread and a forced profile avatar for most of us clowns! I mean if CPKs were merely hype and urban legend, no dumbfark would sink in a Ferrari kinda $ into Nathan's ware! The kid ate crow which is a good corrective step but Marc must now send him a 3 CPK starter kit for his penance and the zeal for that trust but verify thing :p

I want to apologize for this post. It was clearly a joke, but obviously at least one person here took it literally and caused quite a kerfuffle. I am well aware that the chain was not made of lead, and furthermore I am well aware that Busse are the only knives capable of cutting cleanly through a barge chain and whittling hairs afterwards.

Thank goodness for this message. Our Saint Marc is one generous bastid, I'm sure was just about packaging your starter kit which he must now hold off. Saint Marc's moto is, "give till it hurts". Yeah, the problem with that kind of post is, we all know it's a joke, but the random passers by folks that aren't really accustomed to us who read it might not get the joke. Our sub here has actually become one of the most high traffic forums on blade forums. So there's a lot of stuff that shows up on the first page and people who find blade forums on Google actually see a lot of stuff on our forum. So, when I say shit like that, it's probably pretty obvious I'm joking (or at least not trying to be a shyster), but when other people say stuff like that, you can just about guarantee someone somewhere is going to misunderstand it. 18% of our sales are international and most of them are not native English speakers. As we have started becoming larger, I have been becoming more aware of these sorts of things.

And, as y'all have probably noticed, I get a little bit sensitive about my reputation.

I posted this on Instagram also and same shit. When I do the SDFK video I'll be sure to include a magnet in the cut.

Good points, I didn't realize that level of notoriety you had risen to both here and abroad, but it is not surprising. I promise to be super duper serious from now on to avoid future kerfuffles.

While that quip about Busse was obviously another joke, I am actually curious how a Busse Infi with similar geometry would fare in that chain chopping challenge?? Are there any other knives that could do what the CPK did with minimal damage?? It's cool to see what CPK's are capable of, but it would be even cooler to see the carnage of your competitors in the same tests.

I'm pretty sure a Busse could do it. And the one video I made showing my stuff next to a Busse....

The haters start hating on either me or Busse or both instead of just recognizing that both CPK and Busse have both dialed in an alloy and heat treat, you get into these pissing contests between tribes. For that reason, I don't think I want put my work up against Busse on a video. He paved this road I'm walking on, it would be poor form. I have a lot of respect for Jerry Busse and I do not want to start a rivalry.

Now... Cold Steel etc, that would be a different story.
