I mean. I didn't read the thread. But there's a bunch of people who think they don't like D2 because they're ignorant.
I also don't use D2 much anymore. For the same reason. Fantastic steel but nobody wants to buy it.
I don’t mind D2, 3V just fits my needs a little bit better.I mean. I didn't read the thread. But there's a bunch of people who think they don't like D2 because they're ignorant.

Haven't had the chance to try one of yours, hence why it was one of my picks for 2nd.My D2 will run circles around most of these people's knives in their super steels
I don't think I've ever needed to sharpen my D2 EDC and it still gets pretty regular use breaking down amazon boxesMy D2 will run circles around most of these people's knives in their super steels
Yeah...I passed that thread on by. I've been a fan of D2 since Kit Carson sold me on it back in the 90's.Um maybe you haven’t heard but d2 suxx /s
I hate D2 steel - it's overrated and rusts like crazy!!! Take my Ontario...
I've had no problems with my older Rat 1 or Maserin slip joint in D2. Good news, plenty of alternatives out there.www.bladeforums.com

(But then Kit liked 440C as well. So, obviously, Kit didn't know shit from Shinola.)
He also made me my very first custom knife. (420V...now known as S90V. Forgive the shiny late 90's image.)

R.I.P. , Kit. Gone too soon.
Me neither. I'm not comfortable wearing jewelry.D3V wedding rings anyone? I don’t even wear my wedding ring.
Nathan! My wife made my wedding ring out of 440C. I wish I could find it...
Surprising tallies if this were run as a single pick 4 poll. As of this snapshot, total vote picture:
Chopper (73)
Shiv (69)
EDC (68)
HDFK (66)
PK (59)
Skinner (49)
BD (49)
I voted Skinner, potato knife, and EDC, because those are what I would actually use often. So I'm hoping the skinner majes a big comeback! Two of my choices are in the top 2 and the other two are at the very bottom. Alas! The Skinner is not to be![]()
I will be sad if the Skinner is teased this close without a return. Two of my choices are in the top 2 and the other two are at the very bottom. Alas! The Skinner is not to be![]()

Now for full disclosure ... I carry an EDC almost daily ... and if I didn't already have a couple of the HDFK it might be at the top of my list. I'd be hard pressed to pick between the EDC and HDFK if it was just a "your favorite CPK" poll. The Skinner and the Chopper are in my top two and would be the most useful to me - the other two (Shiv and dagger) would just be for fun.

But I missed out on the skinners and tator knives so I had to put them up top. And still put the EDC and HDFK in my top four because they are that good IMO.
