Thanks, Nathan, for saying this. We need more folks calling out this bullshit, rather than shrugging it off and moving on. How quickly blatant misinformation and disinformation spreads these days is frightening - we need to do better at vetting our info and holding our lawmakers accountable when they try to make hay out it.

For the record, I live in what is considered to be a fairly liberal/progressive state and my wife works for a local school district in BEHAVIORAL HEALTH - this furry litter box business is absolute bullshit. Folks need to stop letting themselves be manipulated so easily.

I'll get off my soapbox now.

are you an Oregon native? I lived out there in the early 2000s and miss a lot of things about it, mostly far away from I5

Not a native (originally from Maine) but I've spent most of my life in Oregon. And yes, the state gets better and better the further you stray from the I-5 corridor 😁.
