I don't know if you could cast silver into your molds or not.

A lot of cast precious metals are done with investment casting rather than die casting or gravity casting.

Are your molds actually molds? Or are they dies? Do they have a sprue and gate? They might be intended for coining?
You’re asking questions I don’t know the answer to. I believe the are dies and they were made for coins. I was thinking/hoping someone with experience could smelt the silver and poor it in and use them as a mold. It looks like it would work but I don’t know anything about what to you as a releasing agent, temperatures or best way to polish after. I‘lol try to post a couple pics tomorrow but I’ve got a busy week. My daughter is getting married Saturday and everyday there is something that needs to be done.

As a guy who spent a few months in "The Suck", that was supposed to be a comedic post about me and my puppy-dog.

I was commenting about the video, but I was wrong so removed my comment.
Ex-GF from 3 or 4 years ago showed me a similar video. It was of her deceased fiance. I thought your video was of the same guy, but it's not.

So a few days ago, at 3am, I hear a large truck backing up in front of our house. I get up to take a look, and there is a flatbed tow truck dropping off a Tesla. Turns out it belongs to a couple from CA who were visiting Yellowstone (about 80-ish miles from here) and got a flat tire. They were having their car towed from the park back to the AirBnB they were staying in.

Of course, my first thought was, "WTF? Doesn't this guy know how to change a tire?!?"

But no, it gets better. Turns out that Tesla deliberately does not include a spare tire with their cars, because you cannot change a tire yourself. It has to be taken to an authorized service center if you get a flat. Tesla Roadside Assistance is more than happy to help....as long as your car is conveniently broken down within 50 miles of a Tesla service center. Otherwise, you're on your own to get it towed, and it has to be towed on a flatbed.

So this morning I watched another flatbed tow truck come and take the Tesla away, to the nearest service center, which is 300 miles from here. For a flat tire.

As I sat there, I found myself reflecting on how we have created a class of urban technocrats who are increasingly and quite literally helpless outside of their native bubble. And then I put my coffee down, grabbed my DEK2 and went out to check on our veggie beds.

Not entirely accurate.

Tesla’s don’t come with a spare, that’s true, but there’s nothing to stop anyone from patching a tire, or throwing a can of Fix-A-Flat in, or even yanking the tire and rim off and running over to a service station and having it fixed or replaced. They even sell a pump and patch kit. Buddy of mine is having a new set of tires installed all the way around at Costco on Saturday.

Now, if you’re like 90% of Americans and don’t know HOW to do any of this, then yes, you’re exactly the victim you‘ve outlined here, but that isn’t limited to just Tesla, that’s for sure.

We’re certainly in agreement on the modern state of Eloi and Morlocks, though. Maybe ask Nathan which one I am…

I know they sell their own pump/patch kit. But Tesla specifically says that if you can't patch it yourself by the side of the road, then it has to either be fixed by their roadside assistance (within 50 miles of a service center) or taken by flatbed to an authorized service center. Maybe this guy was truly so idiotic that he opted to have his car towed 400 miles instead of taking it to one of the many tire repair shops between here and SLC where he could have had a new tire put on - that I don't know. But the general point still stands.

All this Fantasy Factory talk brought to mind a song that was popular before a bunch of you were a gleam in your daddy's eyes...
Gleam aside (gross) this song speaks to me every time I hear it! Know my morning drive song as soon as I turn the key tomorrow🎶

Same type of people that do selfies with Bisons in Yellowstone. Must have been fun to drive a Tesla at < -30F last Jan ....

That being said, there is no Mercedes dealer within 300 miles of Yellowstone either (that was 2 years ago, haven't checked since then). So don't go there without a error code reader, and be ready to wait a day for UPS for a spare part .... The easiest to service vehicle appears to be a Toyota truck around there :)

Not that they need service...but it demonstrates superior intelligence. 🤣
