My most trusted wrench says it'll be as easy as popping the old one out and putting the new one in. We'll see about that as I'm not sure he realizes where mine is, but I trust him.

Good deal; 2 screws is not bad and the fact that the plate was not needed should definitely help as far as mobility and recovery time are concerned. I'm glad that turned out okay!

Doc says all went well. Surgery is over, and 2 screws installed. No plate needed. 6 weeks to get cast off.

Thanks for the well wishes.
Fantastic news! I hope he heals quickly.

Does the doc think the break to the growth plate will cause any issues?
Do they think they will have stretch it manually, or should it mend and grow fine?

I find Bob's WTT for shivs posts very cute. Bob can pretend trade shivs with himself on a daily basis and still he will be left with more untraded shivs than there are days in a week :D

Coca-Cola bottlers in my region are on strike.

Supplies on the shelf are limited and sales are restricted. Prices are going up.

I'm not sure how much I'm willing to cut back on my guilty pleasure during this current heat wave.

I might have to sell some CPK to feed my Coke habit.

Context is everything.

To throw off our friends in LE, the replacement word to be used for your guilty pleasure habit is Pepsi or as the Arabs would say, Beebsee (no letter P in Arabic) ;)

You let me know. I've got a guy.

Na it's the trailer brake controller that was installed from the factory. The screen in the dash is telling me there's a TBC fault. Gonna have to get a new one soon.

The factory built in controllers are not reliable long term. I switch to after market controls once that happens. We pull track loaders, skid steer, and telehandler. And the factory brake controllers just seem to be cheap components.

A little offensive language (don't ban me) but my wife and I had this talk last night. She told me she'd never ask me to stop because she knows it's something I love. I thought this was hilarious.

My wife is the exact same way! She said she doesn't feel comfortable around me unless I have 2 or 3 knives on me!

I liked the cartoon. Most good humor has its origin in real life situations.
This kind of problem area can arise when your average monthly knife-bill is $1500 or so...and you don't have any money.
Some unkind folks might call that an obsession... :)

I am reminded of a complaint Bob Loveless had. He said that people taking delivery of his knives could sell them and make a larger profit than he did. This was in the 1970s. You put 50% down and waited about 4 years.

What I'm getting at is that I foresee Nate's knives selling for many times the original price in the not very distant future. Busse is a prime example.

This is not a complaint, just an observation.
