I just saw a Bald Eagle last week, North of Detroit in Fraser just about 1/2 mile east of a concert venue that is named Freedom Hill. Swooped in like a movie. Flying directly towards me and then landed up on top of a steel power line tower, next to the Clinton River. It was still there 1/2 hour later when I was driving home. Maybe the 3rd or 4th time in my life that I’ve seen one. Beautiful, large bird.

They truly are beautiful and majestic. Never gets old seeing them.

Here's one from my front yard. July 5, 2023.

There are a few nests within a couple miles of my home.
It's eating a dead raccoon it pulled off of the road.
I've seen them hunting, but I mainly see them eating roadkill

Seeing a bird fly off with 25 pound raccoon in its clutches is still pretty cool though.
