My neighbor has a bunch of old Power wagons in his yard in various states of restoration/decay including a couple that are all the way back to their glory. One day I saw him out there and asked him about a particular one. The next time I drove by I noticed that it had been dragged farther away from the road stashed in the trees. I guess it wasn’t for sale. Hill people are funny. He is a good mechanic though. He’s got some real old dozers and such that he keeps running and working.

Anyone else stop doing something that is extremely easy for them in order to start something new with higher top end in the future?

Yes. The norm is working crazy hours and then sitting on my arse during downtime. The change will be buying a Comp Chopper and building a practice cutting race course in hopes of POSSIBLY competing someday.

The knife will be expensive and I’ll wager that the travel will be even more so. Looks like I’ll still have to work those crazy hours.

Right on ! It seems like an amazing way to celebrate “knife love” and to be around good people.

I hear ya on the “more comp choppers” bit. They’re hard to find and spendy . Now that I think about it, a fella probably need one for practice and one for competition. That’s literally twice as much….as spendy.

Cool part is, the wifey wants to travel more, so I think it’ll be mutually benificial. Happy wife=happy life !
