Funny, I had a similar thought. Thursday would be good. Winner from this week is responsible for posting the thread on time the following week.

I used to promise proxying before sales but most often psyched myself out and ended up with nothing for no-one! When I have no pressure, I do better at landing a spot... It's an adrenalin thing I suppose. This way, I don't mind if someone bids for themselves because no prior arrangements were made but by and large, if someone asks for a proxy it is assumed that they are unable to attend so it's only fair that those who attend and bid for themselves, having taken the time to do so out of their busy schedule, should really take priority over those who both bid and ask for a proxy (double dipping). This really was the gist of our (forumites) civilized discussions in the past.

You and MPJustin seems like good fellas to have around here and I'm glad that it all worked out and that you both ended up with your HDFKs :thumbsup:

Thanks Casinostocks, I have aspent some time in other areas of the forum but lately CPK has stolen most of my attention. (And my pay cheque) That is in large part due to not only the amazing product but also the great community of people this sub forum is made up of! I really enjoy reading all of the stories, reviews, as well as the fun jabs some of you throw back and forth at each other. :)

Also, my apologies to all if I doubled dipped as this was not my intention. I had asked for a proxy on two occasions but didn’t see one confirmed so I did what I could to step out of my meetings to take a swing from my i-Phone only to see that I was covered already. (Thanks again to Casinostocks and WValtakis for the help) In the future, I will be sure not to participate in the sale if I have a confirmed proxy or if I am later able to make it I will update my proxy request to let people know I will be participating. These sales are a lot of fun and in the future I will do my best to play fair and make sure others have equal opportunities.
 
I'm not an ex-spurt, but I don't think a high speed interweb connection has much to do with how fast a website feeds you data. I checked my download speed when I first noticed that it took about 7 seconds for Nate's thread to load. It was over 100 Mbps. My upload speed was over 5 Mbps. Blade Forums speed in much slower than that and large sites like Fox news are really slow.

P.S. I absolutely agree with Nathan, specially after this article that the UF is a niche pattern and that it "probably" does not fetch that much in solid demand to merit a pre-order :confused:

First Congratulations:thumbsup:That's quite an Achievement! Maybe you could put all of CPK's recent accolades on a permanent Sticky (Highlighted section-Where all the Pre-orders etc are located, In Yellow)? This would be an easy place to see and read all of CPK's recent praises:cool::D Just a thought! Congrats on building a Great Knife:thumbsup:
