Going to need on of those in 21" to fit a Snapper walk behind. It'll be twice the cost of the mower!View attachment 2934767View attachment 2934769
So the Delta 3V it's just short of one year use
I didn't record how much use I had on the blades it replaced. I had been sharpening them twice a season because they would get pretty dull but this was probably more than 6 months because I knew I had some new blades in the works. So they might have been one year but probably a little less.
Point being, I'm pretty sure they did not have as many hours on them as the 3V did. Probably quite a bit less. But I don't really know. I do know they have the same cutting characteristics as the side of a number two pencil though.
Which Friday sale will these be available?View attachment 2934767View attachment 2934769

You win the "perks of being a knifemaker" thread in GKD:I peaked at them after they had been running for a month or so and they had accumulated some wear. It doesn't seem like they have dulled a whole lot beyond what I saw after having used them for a few weeks. Like, obviously they have dulled more but it appears to me that the rate of wear may have slowed down some after the initial edge loss.
I'm mowing quite a few acres of grass and I do scalp dirt and hit rocks and I do mow along a quarter of a mile of my gravel road, mowing medium sized gravel the whole time.
I think it's possible that typical homeowner use, if you had the correct metallurgy, it's possible the lawn mower blade might actually last the useful life of the lawn mower for some people
Do they still clean cut the grass? That’ll be awesome. Just have to overcome the initial investment.I peaked at them after they had been running for a month or so and they had accumulated some wear. Front bumper and brush guard?? Think of what you could plow through…Nathan you are pure evil genius. What can we replace on our trucks with D3V???
That would be cool…but that damn Powerstroke already weighs a boat load. Could you imagine adding a D3V bumperFront bumper and brush guard?? Think of what you could plow through…

On Fords, I would recommend reinforcing the jacking points since they see so much useNathan you are pure evil genius. What can we replace on our trucks with D3V???
