You're running an old dual cpu Xeon workstation? What model/generation?

Kind of curious… 🤔

Dell Precision, Windows 7 Pro, Nvidia Quadro 5000, dual X5647 processors running at 2.93 GHz. I just looked, they're $6 on eBay. 😞

This computer cost more than my first and second car combined

To me, the blur of the table texture looked really suspicious to me around the paper. I didn't keep my earlier accusations since I didn't have proof, but the number 2 had a loop and was written differently than the previous sale posts.

You can see the handwriting style in previous posts.
Dang. With all us old geezers amongst the CPK fanbase, we’re gonna have to go from

To

just to view sales pics

"Westmere EP" LGA 1366 cpus with DDR3 (probably 1066MHz/1333MHz) memory support. Now getting a bit long in the tooth… (comp/tech-wise).

Guys, as usual, they scam even the careful ones. Let me tell you how it goes:

>You've been searching for that blade for a long time — maybe even for years.
>You finally find it, you see the listing. You're in a hurry, someone else will snatch it away from you.
>So you don't pay attention to certain details.

Remember: scammers are usually shitty but smart people. They know exactly how the human brain works. They literally have their own teams — let's call them "commands" — that study and work on how to deceive people more effectively and cleverly.

Guys, this is literally an industry now.

It's a really sad for those who get scammed, but know this: they work so well that even if you're an experienced internet user, you might not realize what's going on right away.

With the help of AI, they can perfectly imitate your entire profile on Bladeforums. You might not even be able to tell the difference.

Pro tip: When you're buying a blade, ask the seller for a fun dance with the knife on video...!

Hmmm 🤔 sounds exactly like something a scammer would say……

Wanting to snatch up the deal should never be a problem. You can post "I'll take it" quickly but there is no reason to pay quickly, take your time and look at all the evidence. Posting will also prevent others from getting scammed while you're investigating.

Also, videos aren't going to help. AI can do short videos showing whatever you want with pretty realistic detail. I've seen scammers pretending to sell cars do it very easily.

I guess we need to hire a beekeeper.

This topic is just too serious for me to attempt some light hearted humor regarding the subject but I would still like to summon and ask Timmy about the recent strange wave of missing and dead scientists with some form of connection to the government contracts at Los Alamos, JPL and others.
There's a thread here about that, already.

First off, thanks for all you do, E.

2nd; scammers need to burn 🤬
(So this a-hole was able to spoof his old IP address, too?)
To be honest, there's only a couple of explanations available that I discussed with one of my colleagues, and on the phone with Nate a little while ago...neither of which I want to get into for a couple of reasons, so best to just let it go with the account having been banned and any future account which shows up with matching IPs to be thoroughly investigated.

And thank you for the kind words, Max, I appreciate it. It's my pleasure to be able to give back to this community.
