Yesterday I drove a rental van 400 miles up the east coast, through NY City. Today I loaded it and drove back. Two weeks ago I flew 1000 miles one way, cleared thousands of pounds of crap out of our old house, loaded a Uhaul and drove back.
I don't mind driving, but unless you get lucky with traffic, the east coast isn't driving.

So we went camping in the ponderosa pines last weekend and our Plott Hound has pine sap spots all over her belly and legs.
Any suggestions on how to remove the sap? I use WD-40 on my hands / arms when I get stuck but I'm not sure it would be good for the dogs.
My dogs get sap from being around trees I cut all the time. Mostly Douglas fir trees here. Olive oil works well at getting rid of it.

It’s sad to see all the emails I’m getting saying “let’s pause for all the service folk who gave their lives” and then it’s shameless and disgusting in the same email that hey! “We’re running sales on all our inventory”. It really does depress the hell out of me.

I needed to put this out there.

"They gave all so that you can buy"...is apparently the message.
That is what a lot of places are about. There is one knife company I follow that posted “No discounts, no sales.” Today is to remember those who gave all for this country. To all my brothers and sisters buried under our flag I say thank you for the freedom you have given me. 🫡

Black vulture. She says that turkey vultures are redheads.
I thought it might have been a juvenile turkey vulture. I have not seen one in decades, but I still remember the odor from where a slew of them (couple of dozen) were in a tree🤢. The excrement was really potent. I was bowfishing for Tilapia in TX…. We did not hang out in that area for long.

Awesome Abby is getting that experience.

I wonder if those sharp talons which Abby's birds of prey have will persuade Nathan to come up with a karambit or hawk type blade? Those are not traditional American patterns (neither was the Khukuri for that matter) but maybe as an inspiration for something in D3V? 🤔

ETA: specially if there is going to be some extra steel left over after a project, A smallish type of blade for a neck-knife pattern named The Abby 😜
