Had the power go out at an inopportune time. Surreal times these. Power Spike fried the spindle amp in Mori number two. So the big Green Mori was dead this morning.



Took it apart and found some vaporized fuses. That's not good.



An exploded varistor.

Vaporized fuse and exploded varistor in this guy too. Don't have spares for a 10E471. these are strange times too, getting spare parts is getting more difficult as more places are closing down.

The Mori Seiki we use for beveling is down.

If it makes you feel any better I had to get a couple pumps set up and running this morning at 5:00am before work. Basement flooded over night.

It’s not the first time it’s happened. Everything stored in the two rooms that flood (when it happens) are in plastic totes.
We only lost a few things the first time it happened. I’m going to do something permanent about it someday - time, money.
