let’s pump the brakes Jeff Cavaliere
One thing at a time. I started back at my gym, smoking protein vs fried.
Contemplating Weight Watchers, wife lost near 50lbs in last 4 months with zero exercise, simply by taking account of what she ate.
Totally agreed, healthy food equal healthy body.
Nobody will get six pack abs while eating burgers and chocolates and lots of junk food and meanwhile doing abs excersises...
(Well honestly you will develope core muscles under belly fat and doing all those excersies with belly fat arent fun you know..)
Just cut up bread and sugar and you will see huge difference in yourselves. For example if you eat 1 plate salad, 2 pieces of bread and drink soda it's better to eat 2 (even 3 plates of salad) and nothing else.
Eating healthy is a key. (Otherwise you can see strongmen competing at Worlds Strongest Man lifitng all those weight but they aren't fit actually they mostly are fat, because they eat 12,000 calories per day and every junk food)
One most important thing is to control time. If you it 3 times per day eat at morning 8-9 oclock, midday 1-2 and evening 5-6. It's best if you will get used to eat at same time everyday. Eating twice a day? Then at 9am and 5pm. First is it will be hard but main hardness will flee away after 3 days, and you will feel like you are doing so for ages after 7-10 days.
exercise won't lose you any weight, but it will make you feel good. The more weight you lose, the better exercising feels. Most people I know who lost a lot of weight have become exercise junkies, and I tend to see a lot of people like that since I'm a bike guy. Bikes are the perfect tool for the job since they're low impact and generate cardiovascular activity, two things that a person who's carrying around too much weight really seem to benefit from
Agreed. Cardio excersies are best for loosing weight and getting fit. But without healthy food it's useless...
Skipping, running, swimming, cycling, boxing. All this are best cardio excersies.
Can't run? Start walking, then jogging, eventually you will build up to running.
Skipping is hard also for beginners but by time it's getting easy. Honestly if I would be asked to pick just 3 excersies which are best for loosing weight, I would say skipping, running and boxing. All this involve high cardio activity, jumping like motions, so your fat bounces all around and that helps a lot shen burning fat.
For examplel, Ive been liver donor. I've always been in shape. Used to walk in mountains and explore, sometimes if I was going for 1 day trip I used to walk from 20 to 25 miles in mountains. My legs and knees where always in best shape. I had upper body strength also but not as much as lower body. After surgery I almost hit 200lb because of inactivity when I used to be 170-180lb max. After 3 months from surgery I started slowly excersising. My core is still weak after surgery as it was cut horizontally and vertically also.. before 3 month mark I was told to only walk. So I was walking upstairs to downstairs, after 1 month from surgery started walking in mountains but for short distances like 1 mile. Now I can freely run 1 mile.
After 3 months from surgery as I started to excersies Ive decided to get my upper body in shape. As my legs arent weak (feeling almost same strength in them). So ive decided to do some pushups. As max i was able to do 30 before (tho had normal grip strength) and i decided pushups because it doesnt involve core muscles. Ive decided to do pushups for around 2 months. So as i will finish my 2 month goal i will start all kind of excersies, involved core as enought time will be passed sience surgery and there wont be problems with my core.
So my plan was next to do pushups everyday non-stop for 2 months (8weeks). 8 times per day. Started from 15 at one set (goal to achive 50 pushup set). 2 hour rest time between sets, so from 8am till 10pm.
For first week ive did 8 sets of 15 pushups everyday. Then added 5 to each sets. So 2nd week 8 sets 20. And so on. Now it is end of 4th week, so 8sets of 30 pushups per day. Mid if this week was bit hard, felt bit soreness but didnt stopped, yesterday and today hadnt had any problems and feeling full of power.
Before doing pushups wile walking after 1 month from surgery i took my grippers (CoC grippers) decided to get some hand strength back. My bests was no2 1 rep. Now i do it 5 times and doing n2.5 full close 1 rep.
So i feel a lot better in my hands and shoulders. And after achiving my 8sets of 50rep pushups for 1 week. Then ill start doing ebery excersies i want for whole body, mostly core and upper..
And because of liver recoveey time i have to follow very strickt diet. No any salt, no any oil (just drop of olive oil but rarely), no any sugar or sweet (inc. Coffee and tea..)
Here is my left hand

You know strong hands and grip are essential for blade lovers who love to cut and chop stuff
