Like any normal person I prefer Crest toothpaste. Obviously. However somehow for some reason Jo is a Colgate person. I just don't even know how to deal with that.

At least it's not aquafresh...
Life is rough sometimes! ;):D

Damn, you think the neighbors are gonna appreciate you putting Crest on all those ribs and stuff?
He did say "everything". ;):D

So I’m watching TV and I see this report about a long line of cars in some areas as some cities are running food banks.

Couldn’t help but notice that there were some very nice and expensive cars in those long lines! Am I being way too judgmental?
Maybe those foodbanks serve filet mignon and lobster?;):D

Jo: oh my God what happened to your arm?

Me: nothing I don't want to talk about it

Jo: Jesus Nate what happened?
Jo : sympathy

Nate: it's a burn. I burnt it...

Jo: inquisitive. How exactly did you burn your arm Nate?

Nate: I was swinging around on a chain in the new shop while drunk and smoking a cigar

Jo: disdain

I have had something going on with me for well over 3 weeks or perhaps even longer  Nothing serious as it's all mild, yet I'm experiencing quite annoying "symptoms". The sniffles, very mild headaches, an itchy throat at times which results in very infrequent coughs just to clear the throat, some sneezing here and there and finally very rarely a runny nose.

All of these are the archetypal seasonal allergy symptoms specially since I feel better when I'm at home but get worse when I venture out. To remedy, I do take some OTC stuff and lately have been taking Theraflu teabags just in case after a hot shower at nights which makes me sleep soundly :) All that said, all the incessant news is really bad for someone like me who could very well be a hypochondriac. I think that if this COVID-19 does not infect me, my own head will infect me with COVIDMATTY!

You know, I’ve had the same symptoms for about a month, but even a bit more mild than what you are describing. Have never had something like this before. Waiting for it either to go away or something to kick in. Rather disconcerting. I’m behaving like it’s COVID-19, though I very much doubt it is, just so I don’t potentially contaminate anyone else. What? You've never seen a person wearing Gucci apparel while using their EBT card at the store, then climbing into their shiny new Escalade with $10,000 worth of chrome rims (and low profile tires on an SUV )?

O’Keefes working hands is really good
Yep. Been using O'Keeffe's for years. While getting supplies in Jan-Feb for what I knew was coming, I heard about Bag Balm, so I decided to try it to see if it was better (high Lanolin content. Looks like mostly natural ingredients).

Nope. The Bag Balm leaves my hands kinda greasy, where the O'Keeffe's absorbs into the skin fairly quickly. I even tried using the Bag Balm only at night before bed, figuring maybe it would work better to moisturize my hands overnight. Not really.

Applying both before bedtime, with the O'Keeffe's, when I wake up in the morning, brush my teeth, wash my hands etc. My skin is still soft and moisturized. With the Bag Balm, once I'd washed it off my hands, my skin was back to rough and dry.

O'Keeffe's also absorbs fast enough that I can use a small amount every now and then throughout the day, and within a few minutes, my hands aren't slippery. Even a small amount of Bag Balm leaves my hands feeling greasy.

Here is my hack and my contribution to my CPK brethren and to mankind; no gear is needed for this hack:

Certain things require that I moisten my finger tips, for instance opening the bags for dog-sh*t as I pick up. I 've tried to open the darn things dry but I tear them up and then run the danger of getting dog poop on my fingers. It is generally a bad habit, specially in times like these to lick your finger tips. So what to do:

Bring finger tips close enough, like 6-7 inches away from your mouth and then spit / spray onto your hand and then voila, problem solved :D

True but better than getting dog poop on yer!

ETA: for me to leave the dog poop where she deposits it is out of the question. This is no small dog so those deposits are proportionate plus not picking up after one's dog if on public grounds must become punishable by death

Well, as long as we’re being “specific”, for some reason, without much thought into it, I prefer a light spit on the edge of the bag as opposed to spitting on my fingers. Always licked my fingers before...... Mike
