In other news, this thread will soon hit page number 600! The first person who makes the first post of that page 600 will be crowned CPK's homecoming queen when the world opens up for regular business :D

ETA: when I was writing this post I also knew that I was playing Russian roulette :D
Cheating...

@Gravelface ,
Thank you for the important work you do!:thumbsup:

Regarding your question "what's it going to take for folks to stop the insanity?" – I think the answer is they might wake up when someone close to them dies from the virus. Then they will probably shift the blame elsewhere, and say the government needs to do more (rather than admitting they were at fault for not taking personal responsibility to help stop spreading the virus).

So I’m watching very heavy handed police crackdown in places like the black townships (shanty towns really) in South Africa and also in India, when enforcing their COVID-19 stay in shelter laws. I can’t help not to laugh (I already know that it’s very wrong) that their police still beat these curfew breakers up after they make these poor sods do squats, pushups (one was doing knuckle style on asphalt!) burpees and Superman crunches. Man, it’s so so so rough in some places!

Jo: oh my God what happened to your arm?

Me: nothing I don't want to talk about it

Jo: Jesus Nate what happened?
Jo : sympathy

Nate: it's a burn. I burnt it...

Jo: inquisitive. How exactly did you burn your arm Nate?

Nate: I was swinging around on a chain in the new shop while drunk and smoking a cigar

Jo: disdain

Well played good sir, I say, well played indeed!!! :D

LMAO!!! ;)

It does put the actual danger from the sort of things that people are fearful of like mass shooting into perspective. The things people are scared of vs the things that are actually a real problem. you have people who are afraid to send their children to school because they're afraid of mass shootings. I'm not trying to diminish the validity of their fears, but when you figure you could add all the mass school shootings together since the formation of the school system in the United States they wouldn't equal one day of death from this virus but it's frequently these same people you see continuing to gather and treating this virus like it's not something to be afraid of. People get concerned about the wrong stuff. IMO.

I thought I actually washed my freckles off !!!! Moisturizer is a must right now. Strange times indeed right now. Just always trying to look forward to when this passes :) In the meantime I control what I can, do what I can do, and stay home as much as I can. :) Oh yeah and I moisturize :)
I feel like this could be added in to the movie American Psycho ;)
Of course, I’m typing this with hands so dry that it sounds like there’s crickets in the room while I move my fingers.
