Well that’s nice to know. I’m on my 3rd one today.

Interesting to note I broke a rib and worked straight through it overtime and all, so it works! Only found out it was broken when my Dr sent me for Xrays because I wasn’t recovering as fast as he expected. I only started these pills cause it hurt really bad. Bad cycle to be in.
I broke the 8th rib in 2 places back in June. I blacked out (2 days after surgery) because I dehydrated following surgery to have my gall bladder out.

That pain was really tough.

That is rough. I’m sorry to hear it and wish you a speedy recovery my friend!

I was having a severe muscle spasm in my back, on my right side along my spine below my shoulder blade to the bottom of my ribs. So severe it hurt to breathe and I’d have to lean over to the right because it was contracting so tight.

But I’m right handed and I need to get on and off moving trains, climb ladders and apply the hand brakes on the train, makes radio calls while hanging onto a moving train and I’m right handed. It hurt so bad one day after I drove home from work I had to crawl into the house on my hands and knees.

My neck was so bad I couldn’t even check my blind spot or put my head back to drink. My shoulder was locked so tight I had to hold my arm across my chest to relieve the tension and couldn’t move it for a bit. Apparently the tendon or whatever that locks up in there is connected to a rib that gets out of place.

But all the trouble breathing, muscle spasm along spine, shoulder out from rib being out was the clues my Dr used to make the decision to get my Xrays. They came about 6 months after my accident though so it was freshly healed already.

That amount of pain was why I took the Cyclobenzaprine in the first place. It’s now been 10 months on it and I can’t imagine getting off it yet.

Can a product like a gun or knife be designed to work well, but be so unattractive you wouldn’t buy it?
Yes absolutely. I simply cannot bring myself to buy an ugly knife no matter how well designed they are. Only the opposite end, I wouldn't buy the most attractive knife in the world if it wasn't functional or ready for hard use. I guess that's why I have a very nichè and relatively small collection these days. I need beauty and well thought out design, before I go ahead

Fugly = Matty shan't buy!

I would not necessarily state, "form over function" but for me, form is almost as important as function while giving function a slight lead over form, if need be.

Case in point, back in early 2016 when we used to be on another subforum and someone had mentioned a certain Nathan Carothers' LC (the moniker CPK did not exist back then, neither did this subforum) my ears started ringing and after some research in here, I discovered that this Nathan fella was making some gorgeous looking knives as opposed to the other guy's (pun) which basically were longer or shorter versions of the same template which I had also deemed as being somewhat bulbous and not so sexy! The fact that Nathan was actually MAKING knives instead of just sketching them out plus being the FATHER of D3V, won over almost all of us from there to here, although a small handful never shook off their dreaded Stockholm syndrome ;)

Glock. I know they take a licking and keep on ticking, but I just can't own one. Just sayin'... (sneaks off to don protective flame suit)

You’d be safer with some inflammatory political statement.

that being said I agree that Glocks aren’t the sexiest gun out there but they aren’t bad and just keep shooting. The current gen5 is much better than gen 1 or 2. My favorite pistol is my Glock 34 with a light and optic. The gun that gets carried all of the time is a sig p365. Shoots well and concealable AF.

I see what you did there!

I bought one to try, a 17. I still have it to use for circumstances I know will be a risk for damage to whatever gun I have at the time, but I wouldn’t buy another.

CZ Shadow on the other hand....

True dat ;)

As long as it goes bang that's all that counts. Not a Glock hater, but just don't feel comfortable in my hands.

I feel the same way about Springfields. XDs in the summer, and in the winter it's the XD sub compact which is the double stack version. About the same size as the 43.

Not saying they're the most attractive thing on the planet either, but ergonomics work for me and they make noise every time.

I love my 21sf Gen 3. It fits my hands perfectly. My Meprolight adjustable target Tritium night sights are sighted in at 40 yards.
