(Rasco's knife pic added.) Forge Expansion Celebration! -- GIVEAWAY! --

I am in for this.

I will work on a drawing for the pattern I would request. I'll try to get it up this evening, but it would be a Bowie type, preferably with a harpoon tip. I like the Bowies you've made, though I haven't seen a Harpoon among them. I would, of course want to know what sorts of aspects of making a Bowie you would want most to work on.

Good luck to everyone, though I hope I win ;) Thank you for the opportunity.

Man I'm in, I would love either a tanto with a swedge, or a recurve blade in 154CM with unpolished micarta!

I'll throw my hat in the ring...
Great gaw btw, more then just "a knife", but time, the most precious commodity we have on this earth; thank you for the opportunity!
If I were to be so lucky as to win, I would like something along the lines of the Kommer designed Browning Arbitrator in 154cm;

But with nice wood handles, without the false edge, and with a high flat grind instead of hollow... I think that would be a pretty sweet "Last Resort" knife...

Thanks again...

I'm in. I would love one of your hunters. You have a black wood handled single guard I'd like to see with a little more drop point thrown in.

I'm in, thanks!

A modernized take on this with a guard. You pick the steel and materials; probably wood scales.

Classic Bowie, love this design!

Count me in please, thank you! :)

I'm In! Here are a couple I drew up. I like the look of the top one better, but the bottom one is probably more practical for me. Either way both have short handles to make them more compact, and my fingers are slim. Actually a real guard, instead of the tang guard I drew, may be nicer looking on the coffin bowie, so that could be up to you.

Materials:
D2 on the Bowie, probably ~0.14"-0.15" thick with hollow grind. Figured Wood handles for a nice classic look.
154CM for the smaller EDC blade. Hopefully 1/8" thick or less with a full flat/high convex grind to a thin edge. More for everyday stuff, not for camping. No wood processing, or anything like that, so can be a thinner blade for better performance. Figured Wood or Red Micarta handle.

I'm in,

I love a good tanto so I'd be happy to take up your western tanto. I'm thinking if a dagger and and tanto had a bastard child, sharpened swedge at least 2 inches. I'd be down for the 154 cm

I'm in! I'd love something similar to the Classic Bowie shown on your website but a bit smaller maybe like the Randall Model 14 in 154cm with black micarta handles. Thanks for your generosity:thumbup:

What a fantastic way to celebrate!

'Borrowed' this picture from the internet:

I would love to see your interpretation of a Loveless-style drop-point hunter (without the naked lady picture please). Handle material, I've been itching to get something in orange or red camel bone. Even if it costs extra. I'm a huge fan of wood too, like Cocobolo.

Bob W, you beat me to it...

"Borrowed" this picture of Bob W Borrowing the picture, but I absolutely agree on seeing what you could do to this classic Loveless design.

Scale it with white micarta and fashion it from D2. I don't think I'd quit giggling anytime soon.

Congratulations on the forge expansion! Im in. A slimmer Bowie with a blade around 7.5, full tang, and ironwood, bocote or similar handles would be awesome. I have been working on drawing something but it still isn't right. Thanks for the great GAW.

I'm in for a slim pocket fixed blade with a 3" blade in 154CM and a 3.5" handle in G10, micarta, or possible CF. Thanks for the opportunity!

I'm in. I like your work, and would love to see how you might do something like this:

It is a Murray Carter design from his 101 Knife Designs book. I like the idea of a 4.5" blade in 154CM, but a 8-9" in D2 also sounds like it could be pretty cool looking.

Thanks for a cool giveaway, and hopefully you will post progress pictures of the winning blade as you make it?

I will sit this one out, I feel blessed enough to have been able to participate in the first GAW.

Jason is a heck of a good guy and was a pleasure to meet and work with throughout the knife making process we shared. Good luck to all the contestants and I can't wait to follow the process again!

Can I get in on this? I would love to see the AG Russel sting in D2 with a little longer blade or a drop point Dozier in stag.
