Rat Pack Favorite Brew

I hope it's OK to bump a 1 year old thread. I figured since there is already a thread, we did not need another one.

I'm a big fan of beer. My current weekly staples are Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA or Flying Dog Double Dog, Double IPA and Indian Wells Lobotomy Bock.

Due to the recession and my big beer belly, I no longer drink during the 4 day work week. Cheers anyway!! :D
 
Dos Equis, Shiner Bock, Red Stripe, Spaten....mmmmm tasty
also gotta give props to Hazed and Infused A Boulder Beer!
 
I'll take some Spaten Oktoberfest :beer:

Forgot to mention that I prefer high alcohol beers. The above Lobotomy Bock is 10.8% ABV but tastes like a Newcastle brown ale. Have two of those and you'll feel good.

The Flying Dog Double Dog, Double IPA is 11.8% ABV but it tastes really strong and harsh.
 
Also a shiner lover here. Probably my favorite american made beer. Although there are a few sam adams i would really like to try.

For ales, I love a good cold bottle of Newcastle Brown, and my all time favorite Sam Smiths. :thumbup:

Now for lagers, if i'm in england i'll go for a Carling, but over here i go for fosters.
I do also love a nice pint of Guinness extra stout. And on occasion the Guinness Foreign Extra (which will definitely put hairs on your chest)

I find that as I'm getting older I don't have a big taste for beer anymore. The ones I still like though are plain ol' Coors Light, Newcastle Brown Ale, and on the more exotic end Leffe Blonde. Here's a link to Leffe...really good stuff. http://www.leffe.com/en/doorpage?destination=node%2F277

For me though I'm a bourbon guy at heart and I'll drink any of it honestly from the low end stuff to the high end stuff.

In the summer I like some rum. Sailor Jerry Spiced Naval Rum is some good stuff.

In the deep winter I get a craving for Scotch. I'm a total noob on Scotch. I know single malts are kinda the preferred route by Scotch enthusiasts, but honestly I like Dewar's White Label. I know it's a blended Scotch, but just served over ice...it's pretty darn good.

Hate wine though, won't drink it, gives me a headache everytime even if I just have one glass. Spoiled grape juice...bleh!
 
buying up the last I can find of the SA Summer Ale...found 3 six packs Monday.

then it's back to Shiner unless I get on something else.

The HEST opens 'em...it's the knife's fault, i HAVE to drink 'em...
it'd be rude not to. :)
 
I normally drink Sam Adams, Killians, Anchor Steam, or Bass Ale. I'm out west right now, so I'm drinking Corona.

I hate zombie threads and I haven't been drinking anything lately other than water, but for the love of God man I need a beer! Vacation starts Friday and work is going to try and ruin it for me!

Another vote for Shiner - and its not only because I live in Texas.

Here's one of my all time favorite beers, Mississippi Mud. It can be a little hard to find out here in California at times but it's worth the hunt!

Corona is the only beer I can drink now due to a bad case of acid reflux.

I use to really enjoy the varieties of Sam Adams though...
 
Why do you think you devloped acid reflux?
Unhealthy, bad diet, too much alcohol, or too much spicy foods?

I also have acid reflux :(
I think it's a combination of everything I listed above. I need to get healthier :p

Probably a combination of all of those factors when I was younger. I used to love to eat jalapenos dipped in hot sauce, chase it down with some Jack Daniels, cocaine, and a few hits of acid. :barf::cool:

Now I'm a good boy, my only vice comes in a marlboro pack and the occasional lime slice stuffed in a corona bottle. :D
