Received today: ZT 0566

This is just driving me crazy. I pre-ordered the knife at Knife Center and I still haven't gotten anything about it :( I want this thing so badly..

I was in the same situation, found a place who had them in stock and cancelled my pre-order, then ordered from place that had them in stock. It is one awesome knife.

Out of curiosity where'd you buy it?

Somebody posted on here that New Graham had them in stock, i cancelled pre-order with BHQ and ordered from NGK, got it three days later, Glad i did. This knife is absolutely awesome.

Throwing my two cents in for anyone else wondering...
A- it's not a very good manual flipper when de-assisted. It can be done but...The small detent isn't nearly firm enough. I tried messing with pivot adjustment but no go on mine anyway. It falls out of the handle when you barely move the handle up and down. Flicks open without wrist movement 1 in 5 times on MY specific knife. Took it apart nothing obviously wrong with pivot ball. Just meant to be an assisted knife I believe.

B-a little grease where the torsion bars ride will get rid of the rattle some ppl here.

C- this knife is awesome. I'm not an assisted opener fan (knockout is my only other one) but this knife makes it all worth it. Get one!

IF you look for a place with them in-stock, make sure they HAVE them in stock. I canceled my KC order for New Graham only to find out there was an error and they didn't have them. Took them a week to get them back in, so I can't complain too much. I also have a pre-order in with Kershawguy, who said the list isn't too long...

Is it worth it to just keep my pre-order at KC and wait till they release it?

Yea just keep it and keep looking at kershawguys website and all the other usual places who get them in and you should be good to go.

Same here. When did you pre-order?

The worst thing is, I could get one here in Germany, but it would be almost twice the price at KnifeCenter...

I'm very tempted to buy it over here anyway and cancel my pre-order at KnifeCenter. But is the 0566 worth such a hefty price tag?

All I've done is a lbs from Pete gray. Will be getting a custom scale soon I hope

Who are you going to get the custom scale from? I've got a couple of knives now that I want to put different scales on and I'm having trouble finding someone to do it thats not backlogged for months or not doing them any more. I want one for the 566 and one for a 550. Any recommendations?

Rival customs. He's backed up right now also

Could someone tell me if it has the same jimping on the handle by the pinky as the 0550?

Thank ya and enjoy!

I pre-ordered back in August so I'm not sure :/

Mine showed up today!

Like others, I had a pre-order from KC (placed in July) that I cancelled when I found one on a major online retailer named after a large river. It was sold through a re-seller for $135 including shipping. I was pretty happy with that price.

It's my first ZT...and the biggest folder I have, just ahead of the DPX HEST. It feels great in-hand. I've de-assisted it (couldn't even open it with the thumb stub....that torsion bar holds it firmly shut!). So far so good!

After couple of days 566 easily became my favorite EDC.
It has couple of things going that other knives do as well: it feels like it was custom shaped to fit my palm, it feels solid, has good fit and finish, premium steel and it's estheticaly pleasing. But it has other things that are kind of unique and hard to find anywhere else: the option to be assisted or manual, ergo and design of the respected brand for fraction of price, great warranty.
Interesting fact: pivot and body screws are all T9. Nice touch.

One hint to all who deasisted it and are not happy with the result. Remove the pocket clip and give it a try. My pocket clip was pushing on the lockbar a lot. Once I straightened it out the knife flips and flick with ease.
