Recon 1, in MagnaCut

thanks. yep agree. if it's anyways shorter its a hair worth.

what catches my eye is the finger notched grooves in the scales...seems the Italian is deeper and bit longer and wider. visually I'm liking it.
I didn’t even notice the finger grooves but for sure they look deeper. They both feel equally great in hand though.

I agree, scales look better on the MC version. Unfortunately, the ricasso is longer on that one.

I wonder if they will make a spear point in MC? I would probably pay $200 for that.

don't give gsm idears that we'll accept higher prices......😁

The lowest I've seen it was $195. If it's lower than that somewhere, please let me know. $150 should be max on this one in my opinion but most knives I buy are overpriced.

no I haven't seen anything lower, yet. was just goofing around......

Thanks, that’s exactly the comparison I’ve been looking for. Much appreciated!
it's hard to capture the exact amount in pictures. these pictures turned out a bit exaggerated. I tired to get it better, but I'm no photographer. in your hands and looking with your eyes, the difference is not as much. it's there, but it's more as ya called it originally, a hair.

I stacked them on top of each other, and couldnt get pic to capture the difference between the edges....looked like one knife. the difference is very slight.

yeah. barely a hair thicker g10 on the italian and wider cut groooves, but I wouldn't say deeper cut.
GSM seems to be stepping up their game , at least at the higher end .

The AD10 LE 3V Ti upgrade was, IMO , pretty much perfect . ☺️

This M1 upgrade could have been just a MagnaCut blade , but they troubled themselves to do some redesign , without departing too much from the Recon 1 line .

Starting to show a bit of insight into knife knut appeal .

Seems that a lot of the 'tooth-knashing' about Cold Steel's demise, after Thompson sold-it to GSM, didn't totally materialize. Glad that they're still evolving legacy models, and thinking outside of the proverbial, lacklustre box. Although, their 'customer-service' could be improved exponentially. Other than that, Cold Steel's very-much in-the-game, as they say.
