Red Angel Dragnet - Christopher Blair - BEWARE!

I really do agree with this in principal, however we have no idea what may have happened to the seller in that time.

He was sent a request yesterday to clean this mess up by the mods, and considering that he has a positive history on this forum, he should get some time to respond and clean this up.

I think he has earned that right, and deserves a chance to explain his side of the story.

Let's give it a couple of days and see what happens.
There is a lot we may not know....

Wow, I was right for once in my life.
I better enjoy this moment, might not happen again for a long time!

Funny you're already on my ignore list so something else happened in the past to put me off.

No conclusion to jump to since there was no response from you. Making the effort to reply here is secondary to your responsibility to the OP.

Ball's in your court.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't!! We comment all the time "post the person's name, etc" and complain screen names are useless. Then we someone does there's a comment that he should not have. The OP did not have a crystal ball, he had no idea the man with his money was on the disabled list. All he knew is that his communications to the seller went unanswered and he was frustrated to the point of exploding and felt he got shafted. He waited a reasonable period of time, he got no replies to his E-mails, he did what many of us would do, he posted names!!

That is true. There is no middle ground :D
I certainly don't blame the OP for posting here. A couple weeks with no communication, and thinking he may be out $450 would make anyone a bit concerned.
It is easy for us to give advice because we are not emotionally or financially invested in the transaction. I know personally I can get a little cranky when things don't go the way I think they should :D

It is unfortunate that these threads have to happen in the first place. As already mentioned, we all have things in our daily lives happen, but a seller has to remember that they have a buyers money, and the buyer is anxiously waiting for their purchase to arrive. Short of something very catastrophic happening, a person should be able to send some form of communication so the buyer doesn't feel abandoned...

In situations like this, the Mods are very good about helping, and letting the seller know what is going on, and helping further a resolution.

Granted the seller has a history here and good deals in the past, but unfortunately we have all seen long term members who had a great record in their transactions, somehow get off the track, and really change.
Not saying that is what happened here, but this is a small community and people remember things like that, and it can have an affect on how things are viewed from the outside.

Hopefully the knife will be shipped ASAP, the buyer will be happy, and the deal will have closure.

He is a good man and life happened . We don't know how bad or fine details Ect I have no doubt he will get the shipment out ASAP.

RAD has been good to me.

I have been in the O.P.'s shoes as well.

This will work out I'm pretty sure.

I'm NEVER using anything but PayPal goods for transactions. Just due to the safety net it provides should a seller chop his/her hand off, get stung by a hive of bees,... Whatever could keep the deal from going down smoothly.

I know that I will wish RAD a speedy recovery, and hope that he's able to ship out my BWM when he gets a chance. :D

Get well soon Bud.

How can he "be out $450" when the OP paid with PP Goods?

The key word is "thinking". Yes, he would very likely be ok in the end - but nothing is sure with PP, it may take time, and I would suppose most people would be anxious if it was your money involved. Not sure why that was necessary.

Hopefully this will work out well for both parties and understanding prevails.

Well someone didn't read past the first post.

I wouldn't be a little bit "anxious"..the seller hasn't even provided a Tracking Number so its not exactly a hard case for PP to decide.

Straight from PP:

You must open a dispute within 180 days of your purchase or payment to initiate the Purchase Protection process.

You're Protected if:

1. Your order never arrives

All you have to do is log in to your account and open a dispute to get the refund process started.

Not sure why that was necessary.

Guys, thank you for jumping to conclusions. I have recently had a fairly serious hand injury, typing this alone is difficult. I will be contacting the parties involved here, thanks.
3/8/2015 Sent payment of $450 to Christopher Blair (Red Angel Dragnet) for Busse NMSFNO
3/18/2015 Chris Blair (RAD) Hand is good enough to post and sell knives!
3/21/2015 onehunter (Steve Thomas) starts this post
3/22/2015 Chris Blair (RAD) states he will contact all parties involved
3/22/2015 Contacts me Steve Thomas (onehunter) stating he will refund my money today. What happened to the knife?
3/24/2015 NO REFUND NO EMAIL NO KNIFE NO RESPONSE to my emails

So on 3/18/2015 Chris Blairs hand is good enough to post and sell knives (and receive $2850.00 in payments) but not send my knife or respond to my emails. And only after being contacted by Moderators and other members does Chris Blair (Red Angel Dragnet) then say he will refund my money but does not.Apparently Chis Blair now has a history of not keeping his end of a transaction or keeping his word. Is it now time to make a claim with PayPal against Christopher Blair (Red Angel Dragnet) ? - Steve Thomas (onehunter)

hand injury?takes a couple hours at hospital.I had,a finger conpletly chopped off out in 8 hours.still had other hand.were is original knife?go to PayPal get it resolved you should of had money after he posted in thread.no one is inocent!

Paid for a Sus Scrofa plus extra for USPS Priority on 3/14, and I've not received the courtesy of a reply from RAD to either my email from mid-last week asking for tracking info or any response to the paypal dispute I opened this weekend when I didn't hear back. I'm happy to accommodate any number of IRL emergencies - it's just a knife, I have a few already that can tide me over while I wait - but to me the lack of communication is indicative of rudeness and indifference. Guess I'll have to let Paypal sort it out.

And now the plot thickens.................

Seems like Chris B has some more explaining to do. And yes OP, I would file the PP claim asap. Sounds like this guy has more than just your money tied up.
Even though you are very likely to get your money back - it stinks to have to go through the stress. Hope PP takes care of you.

Communication is the key.

What excuse can he offer now? The injured hand excuse bought him a pass until 3/22, that no longer exists.

I am certain there are others right here on BFC that suffered an injury, illness, tragedy in the family while a deal was in motion that found a way to keep the buyer in the loop.

Now, your talk is starting to sound like a quack and your walk looking more like a waddle................

About those conclusions....if you can type this message you can type a refund. I know stuff happens. It happens to everyone. The time frame and lack of communication is troubling.

There are very few scenarios that i can think of where a person cant spend a few minutes to type a message, or have someone else do it on their behalf. When you accept several hundred dollars from someone its your responsibility to keep up with communications. If that means you have to ask a friend to do it for you because you physically cant, then you do that. (are both of your hands injured?) Anything short of coma or being deathly ill i just cant figure out how in 14+ days a person cant find the time or a way to send a message.

there is no hand injury that will keep you in a hospital for 14 days.unless you are dieing.isnt there tapatalk.I never used it so I could be wrong..this is hundreds of dollars.were is the knife.he just got to deep into something like drugs and found out the easiest people to rip of are faceless friends I have seen it to much.even if you get money back from paypal he spent the money you sent allready and paypal will sue.this is why you pay for that extra fee.his close friends and family will be next.I hope not
