Ten days elapsed between 3/8 (payment) and 3/18 (elaborate sales thread with colors and pictures and typing)

Was this the period in which R.A.D. was injured? in that case:

Six days...and counting elapsed between 3/18 (elaborate sales thread indicating ability to operate a computer) and 3/24 (present)

... I have recently had a fairly serious hand injury, typing this alone is difficult...

OK that injury might account for one of the periods of time mentioned, but not both. Dude should have had his knife one way or another.

Don't pat yourself on the back just yet lol

LMAO! What's really funny, is the fact that right after JR88FAN, posted that, I sent him a link from the Pulp Fiction movie scene, where Mr. Wolf was the garage examining the cleaned up car...ask him to post it. ;)

Anyway, please keep us posted, OP. I think now, that it would be prudent to open a PayPal dispute. If this were me, I would be torqued, if a member pulled this type of stunt!

Come on JR88fan let's see the scene of Mr.wolf saving john and Samuels asses.. pulp fiction is one of the greatest.

As for RAD things don't look so good, make this right man.

Just catching up on this, and it's starting to look like I did jump the gun.

So no contact? I would just start the PP claim process at this point. It doesn't take very long, and there is nothing here that doesn't equal a quick decision for the OP.....

I except the fact that I am now proven wrong 100% of the time, and will NEVER post my arrogance again....

Seriously? Have you not been contacted yet? Did RAD (formerly aaaa_cccc) just fall off the map?

Even if the refund eventually comes, the seller's reputation is surely questionable at this point.

If you have one working finger and a keyboard / smartphone, you can issue a refund.

My question is why a reputable member would take a risk like this over chump change.

3/8/2015 Sent payment of $450 to Christopher Blair (Red Angel Dragnet) for Busse NMSFNO
3/18/2015 Chris Blair (RAD) Hand is good enough to post and sell knives!
3/21/2015 onehunter (Steve Thomas) starts this post
3/22/2015 Chris Blair (RAD) states he will contact all parties involved
3/22/2015 Contacts me Steve Thomas (onehunter) stating he will refund my money today. What happened to the knife?
3/24/2015 NO REFUND NO EMAIL NO KNIFE NO RESPONSE to my emails

So on 3/18/2015 Chris Blairs hand is good enough to post and sell knives (and receive $2850.00 in payments) but not send my knife or respond to my emails. And only after being contacted by Moderators and other members does Chris Blair (Red Angel Dragnet) then say he will refund my money but does not.Apparently Chis Blair now has a history of not keeping his end of a transaction or keeping his word. Is it now time to make a claim with PayPal against Christopher Blair (Red Angel Dragnet) ? - Steve Thomas (onehunter)

Ha, that progression made me laugh...out loud. ;)

Paid for a Sus Scrofa plus extra for USPS Priority on 3/14, and I've not received the courtesy of a reply from RAD to either my email from mid-last week asking for tracking info or any response to the paypal dispute I opened this weekend when I didn't hear back. I'm happy to accommodate any number of IRL emergencies - it's just a knife, I have a few already that can tide me over while I wait - but to me the lack of communication is indicative of rudeness and indifference. Guess I'll have to let Paypal sort it out.

This makes two instances. I think the guess work is done. I've seen on other forums where good longstanding members with alot of positive feedback disappeared with people's money.
Damn shame.

It's things like this that have caused me to shy away from purchasing ANYTHING from the exchange on BF.

Almost cut off my left hand at the wrist 2+ years ago, lost more blood than was generally thought necessary to survive, flown by helicopter 100 miles to the 'last chance' hospital after being found aboard my boat 13 miles offshore at 11pm, had surgery from 1am until 7am performed by 3 surgeons, released at 1:30pm as I'm not one who 'confines' well, arrived home at 3pm and mowed my lawn one-handed with velcro applied to both handles to keep the mower runnin' at 3:30 pm.

Yep.........gettin' off an email or making contact in one way or another with someone that I owe or am indebted to financially or otherwise.........probably at least as important as mowin' one's lawn. This incident surely wasn't on my 'bucket list' 2 years ago at age 62, but if we can in anyway fend for ourselves, we certainly should be able to put out as much effort to make restitution, in whatever form, to those that have entrusted us to do so.

Sorry about your hand and I wish you a quick and full recovery. I was lucky enough to be born with 2 and I expect that you were, as well. It only takes one, whether ambidextrous or not, to dial or type. If injured for the long term, jump back on the horse ASAP because you will have no choice and no one is going to do it for you. Welcome the challenge and don't expect 'slack' or make excuses where it isn't deserved.

I had hoped the seller was going to remedy thi sissue quickly, but it is now looking like he has chosen not to... Claiming he was unable to contact the buyer, yet at the same time was capable of posting new items for sale, does not look good.

I would hope that the Mods would be able to either lock his new sale threads until this situation is taken care of, or possibly comment in his new threads about the issue
with the OP not recieving his knife or a refund, so others can be warned.

I wouldn't let a few bad members keep you from buying here... Most are great people, and take pride in dealing honestly. Although I don't have actual numbers, the percentage of deals here that go bad is very small.

you might think im jumping to conclusions but I have seen the best fall to this .the robbing peter to pay paul scam.if no has gotten refund fro him or knives he got a thousand dollars even if paypal pays you back and he has no money to pay paypal back.thats the scam I have seen.paypal sues or presses charges but he still get the money for now.thats all that matters to these people.its the now and needing so bad doesnt matter who gets hurt.I hope im wrong

A great many transactions take place on the Exchange every day.....the vast and overwhelming majority without any problems at all. Feel free to shy away....more for the rest of us.

What a shame. Another one bites the dust. This kind of stuff definitely makes you wary to trade or buy. Sorry to sound this way as I love this forum and believe the mods do a spectacular job keeping it top notch. Paypal looks to be a must or there is just too much risk.

I don't mean to offend but it doesn't look like you have bought much from here anyway. No feedback. Been here 3 or so months. Less than a hundred and fifty posts.

Plus, if you do some simple things it is perfectly safe. Paypal goods always. Check feedback. Let us not forget that this Red guy had a negative feedback left back in November.

Yup, selling stuff while to injured to issue a refund or send out the knife is just wrong. Mods need to lock those threads up until this is resolved.

This would be the second member in the last month or so that has had a very significant issue and was allowed to not only continue to be part of this community but also allowed to continue selling on here, he even has a sticky on him: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1266669-Sellers-Beware-of-DZLVS8-Steve-Kondel. Again, what are the consequences of such bad behavior?

So, just because I don't have a lot of posts and no feedback, that makes me less able to purchase something from here?
That's kind of a backwards way of thinking. So, I need to prove myself in order to spend my money? And, apparently, if I share my opinion, my opinion is wrong? Yeah...

Brings back a memory of a member whose name was Jerry (forgot his username). The guy was a Police Officer, an upstanding member of BFC............................................and then all of a sudden deals started going South. No one would believe the guy was a POS.....................................................and then he showed his true colors; a scamming, thieving scumbag.

It does happen.........................
