sociopaths have a difficult time not gaslighting and admitting that they're wrong.
True... but don't we all? **looks around guiltily**

There really does seem to be an uptick in sellers who essentially admit to the bad behavior and then follow it up with some form of "Uh huh. Well you're actually the one making it inconvenient for me." If they empathized for five seconds the would have to admit they'd never accept the behavior from someone else...

Hey. I actually had done a few prior deals with Ryan that went fine. I was comfortable paying FF. He got me here though. Not sure GS would have helped.

I’ve heard G&S does nothing once PP understands knife is involved, anyone have more insight into this? I may be wrong so do not rely on this to buy GS or FF.
“Every once in a while, something goes wrong with an order. Buyers may take action by opening a dispute through PayPal or by asking their credit card issuer to make a clarification and reverse the charge (credit card companies call this a “chargeback”). Disputes and chargebacks have the same net effect – a hold is placed on the sale’s funds – but their resolution processes are slightly different.”
This is quoted from PayPal, so it looks like you can dispute by funding through a major credit card company, even if PayPay is prejudiced against knife transaction. Still safest to use G&S, and perhaps have both options available.

Numerous knife retailers and knife manufacturers take PayPal.

$60K in sales in less than 3 months and he can't pony up a $1500 refund?
That's because it's...

I sold $60K plus of top notch CRKs in less than 3 months and this guy gets mad because he can't get a $1,500.00 refund, when the problem would only cost shipping fees. Sorry my friend, but I'm not falling for that one. Ask anyone. The quality and quantity of the pieces that I sold to the CRK community cannot be matched, and the number of grails that I've sold people is uncountable. If I'm mistaken, please let me know.
You are mistaken.

it seems you misrepresented the knife and now do not have the money to refund the dissatisfied buyer.

To be blunt zero, absolutely zero people give a shit about what you have sold to the CRK community when you sold a misrepresented piece to someone and now refuse to refund them. Good luck in the remainder of your short time here. You give off the Liu Kang vibe with every one of your posts. My guess is you will not be around much longer, especially when other buyers start posting like they usually do in cases like these.

Realistically the only way to salvage your reputation at this point would be to refund the OP’s money ASAP.

I was trying to remember why I had the seller on ignore. He does have a few GB&U threads where he is the star, and in those threads completely contradicts himself. Nothing major though.

But I think he hit the ignore list because of his questionable intelligence on display here: https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/hacked-account.1826042/#post-20914774

When a mod tells you the account you are dealing with is hacked and to not send funds you should probably listen....

We all saw his “defense” he didn’t deny anything he just said, he’s the man, $1,500 bucks is not worth his time to refund me (it was more than $1,500) no one sold as many “uncountable” knives as him. Of course the “uncountable” makes the measure of greatness harder to figure but who are we to count in his presence. AND How dare a mod tell Brendtech189 Brendtech189 Ryan Smoliak an accounts been hacked. Seems like there’s some larger than life / quick trigger impulsivity.

Brendtech189 Brendtech189 did get his hands on some pretty epic CRKs, I know how, but at this point I’ll leave a morsel of dignity for Brendtech189 Brendtech189 to preserve.

What’s never going to be ok by any measure, “uncountable” or not, is:
1) knowingly misrepresenting, pricing and selling a knife as “dead mint”
2) sending the knife in the condition it was and
3) telling me the resolution was to spa it OR
4) your backwards refund concept where you refund me only after I send you back the knife for nothing, you spa it and rip off another member then send me a refund (which each time he mentioned it shrinks) who I guess you sold a spa’d knife to for full “dead mint” never touched price. Does it include the “free clip insert”?

And don’t tell a buyer you don’t have money to refund them while posting knives for sale for 5k to 8k (or sold $60k in 3 month) and going on buying spree at the same time.

Well, officially, he isn't selling anything...it's all F&F. Since the money was a gift, the recipient (we'd call him the seller) doesn't give two s***s about whether the sender is satisfied

And here is the real crux of the issue. Don't give strangers on the internet large amounts of money with no recourse. I mean, all that can be done here is to warn others, chastise the seller, and if he decides not to refund, a ban.

Don't pay for things with f&f because you in fact are not paying for anything.

Omfg This is shocking. It takes a lot to get on my ignore list; I think that thread just pushed me over on my stupidity limit.

Consequently couldn’t refund me due to Lochsa ISO. He’s been very active.

I’m pretty sure he was booted from the CRK b/s/t over on Facebook for shady sales practices as well.

This is troubling. In the 3rd post of this thread, you showed a screenshot of a text exchange where Brendtech189 Brendtech189 says, "OK, but one thing please don't say the PDW was from me as it was a crazy ride that I lost through PP but my neighbor saved me". And now you intimate that you know how he gets some "epic CRK's", but that you'll leave him a morsel of dignity. Is he stealing?
