Posted this picture on FB and had over 30 messages in a matter of a couple hours. I had to start asking for a 5 dollar deposit just to get an accurate list of who really wanted them. In less than 18 hours i had deposits for all of the ones im selling except the 2 im keeping...... And 2 i saved to offer up here. ;) I got people asking me to run a 2nd batch too. I really like the design personally but i was amazed at the response it got. Some people way more talented than me wants something im creating, and are willing to PAY for it???... Thats just an amazing feeling.

can't wait to get these!

They do play, once you click on them. What are you guys doing in those videos? It just looks like a plain piece of bar stock that you are quenching. What is it for?

Its just bar stock. We had already heat treated a batch of M9's and was done for the night. A few adult beverages was swallered and we was just playing around. FIRE! FIRE! FIRE! (Evil laughter)

Get drunk and play with fire is a pretty normal weekend. Get drunk and play with fire indoors???

Hats off to you fellas.:D

Ehh, we wasn't in any real danger of catching anything on fire. I have a very tall ceiling in my shop for just such of occasions. :D

Although, I wouldn't suggest the normal moron try this a home. we are professional morons!

I'm a little late to the party here, but could someone clue me in to what the hell is going on in this thread!?!

Bullseye impaling Electra with vim and vigor according to your avatar image.

I like iced coffee, but too much work for me. Oh hell, I made the bacon, the woman is at her mother's this weekend. Hey, I think I figured out why my morning is going so well.
No work at all....I make a full pot and put it in the fridge. when it gets low (I get about 3-4 fillups in my big cup) I make another pot and so on....
Like Bob Marley said, "no woman, no cry"....but if I was on my own for the weekend I'd prolly let Dunkin' make my breakfast & coffee for me.

Hell if I know, but if you figure it out, make sure to let us in on it.

Congrats WW! And put me down for one! That is awesome! I was a little surprised when I saw that you'd already gone orange. Let me know where to send the $$$.

Thanks brother!! Ill send you a message in a bit. Ill put you down for one of the 2 left. Thanks bud!

You look good in orange, WW! Congratulations. And that mini-hawk is a sweet design.....I'm not surprised people want them and are willing to pay for them.

Thanks man!! I was a bit surprised myself LOL

Damn WW! Grats on Orange brother. Those mini hawks are sick! Great design man!

Thanks bud!!

What the heck? When did you go orange WW? Are you making those little pocket axe thingies? Is that a bottle opener under the face of the axe?

Inquiring minds want to know!

I went Orange last night :D

And yes im selling these little mini Hex Hawks. But they are all spoken for now except one.

The bottom hex cutout works on 1/4" screwdriver bits. The way the cut is done the bit will not slide all the way through, or slide up and down in use, the bit goes in 1 way only and sits in enough to use it but not enough to where your trying to hold the bit steady and turn the hawk. The top cutout is more for looks but it does function and work on bolts with a .43" head.

They will be getting stonewashed once complete, they will have sheaths by Julio and can easily go on a keychain as well.

BUT.. No bottle opener :D.

Daizee makes a sweet bottle opener thats sharp.... Just saying :D

can't wait to get these!

Yessir!! I cant wait to get them all done and headed your way!! Thanks for the help with these brother!!

Congrats on going orange!!

Thanks Jonny

Im not forgetting anyone.... It would take more than these little hawks to get me on a mountain top LOL... Either way, I stay true to my roots LOL

WW, since you got those hawks water jetted. You shouldn't have to send but one for JD to make a sheath for. If he makes several for the one you send him they should all fit as long as your grinds are in the ballpark of each other.. Just sayin. Personally, I wouldn't like leaving the whole batch to the fate of the postal service.

If you rotated the circle on the bottom of that you could make it also function as a bottle opener, and if you reshaped the cut out on the handle region it could do double duty as a shackle key/oxygen wrench. Just ideas for ya to chew on for the 2.0 version. Looks good, and I like the idea behind it.

I was thinking the same thing!! Id hate the post office to mess me up now LMAO

Im just worried since im doing all the bevels by filing by hand that there may be some slight variances.. But maybe i can just send a couple with the most variance in them and maybe JD can make the sheaths work on the 2-3 i send... Then the sheaths should fit all of them???.. Id think anyways LOL

I like the oxygen wrench idea!! Cool stuff!!

I thought about extending the little point at the top of the handle area.... That would make it work as a bottle opener... But would also ruin the different ways of holding it.

Thanks for the compliments and suggestions bud!! Ill play with the ideas :D

stopped at an estate sale yesterday while SWMBO was doing a 5k -- there was a red plastic tub marked "mystery box $4" -- it's a waterstone setup with a pair of 3x8x1" stones. The tub itself sells for $75 and the waterstones are not low cost items either.

Like one of those Lee Valley "Stone Ponds"? Rectangular metal rods to hold the stones in water upside down and then flip over and fit into the slots on the tub? Pictures, fer cryin' out loud! That is an AWESOME find for $4. No one here in NH will sell anything that they haven't done a full internet search on and figured out the maximum they can price it at.....I NEVER find deals like that. EVER. And I travel around the state for work, so it's not for lack of looking.....

it is EXACTLY the Veritas Stone Pond - only with stones, but no little bottle of SC dust for lapping the stones.
and yeah - I was pretty happy, because I <NEVER> get deals like this, either.

Oh my, that's a sweetie Vik. Congrats on the find.

WW, those little hawks are awesome. I'm in on the next round if possible.
