The Chogan throws quite well. I'm amazed at how well it splits and chops. I really, really like it. Need to make a mask for it later and put that sucker to work.

All the family is gone now and the house is now quiet again. My wife did family shots for everybody this morning and we got some pretty good photos. We plan on getting one of them canvased for my parents for Christmas. A nice photo of their children and all 9 of their grandchildren.

All the kids tired me out. I want a nap!

OK, now I wanna see some pictures.
I'm thinking the Kangee is gonna throw well, too. Mine's coming with a mask. Snow's flying today....harbinger of indoor throwing season ;).

Won't be here for a bit as I ordered another 15 and Dex is waiting to ship until everything's in. Hear me now, anybody reading this: the personal service and care that Dex gives is worth the extra whatever $ you might save ordering stuff from some large online retailer. I'm by no means a man of much means, but I think the relatively small difference in $ was worth it to support him and his business.

Oh my, that's a sweetie Vik. Congrats on the find.

WW, those little hawks are awesome. I'm in on the next round if possible.

Thanks man! And i appreciate the support!! Ill very likely be making more, but it will be January when i start them! Ill make a note to let you know about it when the time comes.

This... I didn't even notice them on Facebook. I even have you added. Oh well... I'm in on round two!

I showed them on a couple private groups so thats probably why you didnt see them on FB, send me a PM on FB if interested and ill see about getting you added to the group.

And thanks brother ill let you know about round 2 as well when i get them started.

This. Is GREAT to hear. Id honestly rather chop wood with a knife... I just enjoy it more. But the thing that interest me with hawks is they are FUN to throw!

I very much agree with this statement.

I do as well. Aside from being a solid guy, he's a very talented leather artist and service provider. I can't wait till he starts offering Parkerizing for blades. ;)

I'm going to have to ditto you :D Playing the waiting game for my parents to come home with my BK11 from Dex is hurting my brain. This, and I really enjoyed talking knives with him on the phone. Its one thing to sell a product, its something completely different when that person actually has an abundance of experience with the product they are selling. That and he's a Beckerhead, which automatically makes him better then the average person.

Just as bad... my wife started dropping some hints as to what she's getting me for my birthday. Me thinks there is a Letherman Surge coming my way. She also pushed my buttons by hinting that my inlaws pitched in to get me something amazing.... 15 more days of the waiting game to go....

Daizee makes a sweet bottle opener thats sharp.... Just saying :D

;)
That I do, but you're raising the bar on production capacity... imma gonna have to step up my game to keep up with you all of a sudden.

There's oil everywhere in the shop.

So, I haven't bought anything from Coyle, however I bought a grail 11 from Dex... Wicked good service since he had them as his personal knife and still sold it to me! I <3 it too!

BTW, GSOM, I had Brutopia's IPA last night and it was quite good too. A very good example of the style without crossing the line to offensive. The Valhalla is still my favorite.

now that's a holiday activity I can get behind: Family Shots!! (make mine a double)

I made mine a triple, then poured my sisters a quad. She was pretty tipsy by the end of the night. The dip in the hot tub didn't help, but made for a fun night!

Your birudashi is a rock solid design. If you made a bunch and posted them in the right places they would sell VERY fast im sure. But you also have a great job that keeps you busy i know.. I have LOTS of time on my hands, but no where near the skill you have at making knives.

Like i mentioned before i didnt come up with these hex hawks to sell... I love miniatures personally, and designed this for me. Once i started showing others it got a great response locally with friends and family so i decided to make some to offer. I didnt plan to make it a multi-tool either, the design just looked cooler with hex cutouts due to the shape... SO i figured why not make them functional.

Im working on a couple more little ideas, but they wont be coming for a while. I didnt expect id be running a 2nd batch of these hex hawks when i started this batch. Honestly i was worried starting with 20 was too much.

So, is Ontario like the Arkansas of Canada? Cause you're talking about getting your sister tipsy and in the hot tub... That... Damn man!

20 isn't a bad batch, however the hardest part is doing the grinding on batches (from what I hear.)

My wife and brother inlaw was there too... start the dueling banjo's or episode of Jerry Springer! Sicko :P

I like drinking with my family while relaxing in the hot tub. Makes for some very hilarious conversations.

In in 4, how are you all? I was woken up just after midnight to the sounds of very low level Black Hawks flying over our house. The RAAF is patrolling the skies ahead of the G20 here in a few weeks. We happen to be right under the flight path as we are about 20 kms out of the city. Expecting FA/18's over the next few nights too, those babies make some serious noise over suburbia.
