Yes, the knives are very useful to you. Congrats!

You are to be praised for your photographic skills. Teriffic setting to explain the work use for these beauties!

The inlay detail at the front bolster was missed in manufacture, but I can't complain for $8.50. A solid knife, otherwise.

Got this today.
Not real crazy about the color but I like it otherwise...so far.

Picked up these two for under $14 each. The top is a Taylor OT. Not really impressed, especially with the punch. Took about five to six minutes to get through an 1/8 piece of leather as it came very dull out of the box. No blade rubbing, but uneven grinds. Little to no snap on all the blades. I did not do any further tests. It's a toolbox / garage knife. The Boker Plus was the good find. 4" closed, 440C but very sharp and stayed that way after some whittling and cardboard cutting. No blade rubbing, even grinds, snap is decent. The punch went through 1/8 thick leather like butter. I don't think the scales are delrin. Seems like some kind of harder plastic. Great QC here and will definitely carry the Boker.

I picked up a Boker Plus a couple weeks ago with 440c also. I'll try to post a pic. Later. But the fit and finish does not compare to my Rough Rider knives. Have you tried them Out?

I've been keeping my eye on RR. I really want them to produce a Stockman with a punch blade. I was trying to get a armor hide Stockman, that seems hard to find. Must be a popular scale. It certainly is the coolest looking to me.

That armor hide is a pretty cool finish. I managed to find a stockman a couple of months ago, but the other patterns are a bit thin on the ground. The same thing seems to have happened with the sawcut bone scales. Some patterns are selling out, too.

I am a rank novice here, and have no idea whether or when they can be expected to make more of the items that sell out.

The other thing I have noticed is that the fit and finish on my recent RR purchases is noticeably better than the knives I bought as recently as six or eight months ago.

I picked up a few Rough Riders this week, and on first glance they seem quite good. I'm just a novice, but for the price I think they're great. Painted Desert Canoe:

Have that same, exact Boker. That 440C is great in this pocket knife. I carry it as a second knife with a larger one when I go to work. The Boker holds and edge well and the blades themselves are ground to be good slicers.

The punch on mine wasn't so good, so I reground it (the distinct advantage of a cheap knife, take it to the grinder!) and it is great now. Sharp enough for me to punch my cigars!

Be careful with the shield, though. Mine fell out and I need to glue it back in. Still really like that knife.

That is one adaptation of the punch that I love, punching holes in cigars. One less thing in the pocket cause I haven't carried a cigar cutter since I discovered Stockman with punches.

Did a video this weekend with first impressions of my first couple Rough Riders. Check it out!

Good video Jeff! I watched the entire thing. I love the Appaloosa handles and have a few myself in the trapper pattern.

Got my blood going again after watching this video!! Just ordered me another RR trapper! Hard to find one I don't have! Thanks Jeff!

Ive been pleasantly surprised with this little lock back. Both sides lock up solid with absolutely no wiggle and razor sharp. Not bad for 12 bucks. Here it is with the Boker lock back.
